On this Independence Day 2016, we remember the many sacrifices - including the ultimate one - patriotic Americans who have gone before us made, so that we can live in peace and freedom.

Have you ever stopped to think of what it took for MilitaryCorruption.com to start up and still be there for you - "fighting for the truth and exposing the corrupt" - all these years? In 1999, both the late GEN Peter Genovese and his loyal aide, MAJ Glenn MacDonald, retired from the U.S. Army Reserve.

With a combined 65 years of military service between them, they were at last free to speak out and tell the truth about what is really going on in our armed forces. Both men loved their country and the Army. They knew there would be a price to pay for spotlighting corruption in high places.

"Without the general's support, we never would have made it off the ground," our editor-in-chief (MAJ MacDonald) recalled. That's true, dear reader, but the untold story is how this former Army NCO and combat correspondent in Vietnam (1966-69) has pumped out a new story every 48 hours for 17 years with no pay or time off, despite failing health, surviving cancer in 2015.

A LONG, HARD ROAD TO TRAVEL

As editor of MCC, I know the major better than most anyone else. He is not only fearless and a friend to all military members seeking justice and equality, but has put his money where his mouth (and heart) is.

The record will show, that between 2001 and 2003, "Major MAC" paid, out of his own pocket, the entire cost of our national advertising in Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps Times. We're talking thousands and thousands of dollars, folks. In the past 16 years, he has never taken a dime in salary or expenses. Many times during those early years, when advertising and contributions came up short at the end of the month, Mac reached into his pocket and retirement pension to pay the difference.

Doing that takes dedication and willingness to endure any sacrifice.

ARE YOU WILLING TO HELP?

Thank God we have a huge audience - nearly four million hits world wide last month - here at MilitaryCorruption.com. But only a very few readers ever contribute anything to keep us going. Those who have - and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts - can rest assured that every cent of what they send in goes to run MCC.

That's how we keep this valuable truth-telling resource available to you free of charge.

Won't you take a moment, especially if you've read and enjoyed our hard-hitting articles over the years, to make even a one-time contribution (see our PayPal tab on the home page or click the link below)?

If you've given before, know that we deeply appreciate your support and endorsement, and hope you will remember us once again. .

Don't forget or put it off. Remember this July Fourth, men like MAJ MacDonald and all our staff members, past and present, who have done so much for such a long time. Thank you.
