LYNCH FINDS NEW WAY TO PROFIT
We have just learned of the latest money-making gimmick Lynch or her handlers have dreamed up. A set of “women heroes of the military” coins are being hawked with Je$$ica’s autographed photo as the big lure.
There’s something very distasteful about Lynch profiting on her fleeting fame – being captured after throwing down her rifle and curling up in a ball – when so many real heroes are coming home in body bags or wheelchairs from Afghanistan or Iraq.
We don’t begrudge Je$$ica’s ability to “make a buck” on her fleeting notoriety, but we wish she’d show a bit more respect for those who lost arms, legs, and – in some cases – their minds, in Afghanistan and Iraq in order to keep Old Glory flying.
Yes, the media made her their “darling” and put her pretty mug on the cover of TIME, NEWSWEEK and PEOPLE Magazine.
But she should have enough sense to know that there is a line you don’t cross where you are known from then on as a person who will do anything to make a fast dollar or two.
May we suggest Je$$ica put in some time as a volunteer nurse’s aide at a local VA hospital, helping those GI’s who are returning from the combat zone. She may even feel better about herself, too.
She is well aware she isn’t a HERO after all! But it must be tempting to grab the money and run while you can.
