We don't usually endorse candidates for political office. What we do, however, is expose cheap politicians in either party who don't support our veterans and men and women on active duty in the United States armed forces.
In 2008 we backed just two candidates, taking no stand on the Presidential contest. We won't fail to endorse in 2012. This year, we are very proud to repeat our ringing endorsement of a truly outstanding leader. He is a man of great honor and integrity who has served our country in Iraq and Afghanistan at the risk of his life. We are very pleased to ask all our readers in Florida's 22nd Congressional District to vote for and support in any way possible LTC Allen B. West, U.S. Army retired.
This candidate is highly qualified for the office he seeks. A former school teacher and motivational speaker, a much-decorated combat leader who served as a battalion commander during Operation Iraqi Freedom, West knows the heartbeat of his district and has real solutions to its problems.
He realizes that higher taxes and more uncontrolled government spending, which is what we'll get if his opponent, Nancy Pelosi-stooge Rep. Ron Klein (D-Fla.) is re-elected, is not the answer. What we need to pull the district up in this current recession is jobs, jobs, and more jobs.
West knows how to make free enterprise work. His whole life has been a success story. A child raised in Atlanta, Ga. during the turbulent 60's, West served more than 20 years as an Army officer. His "people skills" are superior. His men in the combat zone said they would follow Col. West "to hell and back" if he asked them to. This brave man is the epitome of what we so desperately need to send to Congress.
In 2008, with not a dime of support from the national Republican Party, West still collected an astounding 45% of the vote. It was a year when his fellow Republicans were being wiped out at the polls from one end of the country to the other. In 2010, we have an opportunity to correct that mistake and send liberal rubber-stamp Ron Klein packing. Let's do just that.
We urge you vote West for Congress, and if you live outside his district, you can still help by making a contribution. Please click on www.allenwestforcongress.com. Thank you.
