Brandt Martin let greed get the best of him, and now his military career is over. The Coast Guard warrant officer has been given a punitive discharge after pleading guilty at his court-martial in New Orleans.
The former chief of Coast Guard Station Gulfport admitted dereliction of duty, wrongfully disposing of government property, and soliciting another (service member) to commit a violation.
For some reason, CG officials are being tight-lipped on details of Martin's crimes.
Along with being kicked out of the Coast Guard, Martin must pay $10,000 restitution to the government.
