FORMER NAVAL ACADEMY MSM CONVICTED

The Navy won't tell us just why they kicked former Midshipman Bret M. Butler out of the Naval Academy in December of 2012, but chances are it wasn't because he was behaving himself.
The 22 year-old resident of Boulder, CO has a predilection to pose as a "female" on the Internet and try and talk up sex with teenage girls.
That got him in big trouble with the local cops. Thanks to a tipster, investigators discovered graphic sexual images of kids on Butler's cell phone and personal computer.
GOT NAILED FOR DRUNKEN DRIVING
As we reported earlier this year (see related stories box below) the would-be, now never-will-be Naval officer, compounded his problems while being out on $50,000 bail from the sex charges.
He was picked up by police on a DUI charge and later was convicted of DWAI in the state of Colorado.
Now he has faced his day of reckoning in Boulder District Court. Butler got off very easy indeed. No jail time, just a "slap-on-the-wrist" ten year probation term and promise to turn from his bad-boy ways.
Get a load of the statement he made to the court, and tell us if you think this former Annapolis party-animal is sincerely repentant about his past misdeeds.
"I recognize my transgressions and will use this as an opportunity to improve myself both morally and mentally."
