Brian Page has no one to blame but himself for the predicament he now finds himself in.

The command master chief, who was top enlisted man of Carrier Air Wing 2 at Naval Air Station Lemoore, Calif., was given a break when his affair with a female CPO first came to light.

Sources say CAPT Christopher Murdoch, commander of CAW-2, "verbally counseled" the CMC in January about the forbidden relationship and issued a "no contact" order.

CONTINUED TO SEE FEMALE SAILOR

Page, who is married but separated from his wife - she filed for divorce in February - continued to see the other woman (now retired), so Murdoch hauled the E-9 before a captain's mast.

The master chief was relieved of his duties and issued a reprimand. He was found guilty of "disobeying a lawful order."

Since Page had already begun paperwork to retire, there is a possibility that he might be reduced one grade before he leaves the Navy.

The 42-year old CMC came to Lemoore in 2010 as top EM at Strike Fighter Squadron 14.
