Officials won't say why they've labeled an Air Force officer who disappeared Dec. 18 from his home near Shaw AFB in South Carolina a "deserter".
Usually it takes at least 30 days AWOL before a service member is tagged with that serious a designation.
We were unable to obtain, as of press time, information on what kind of security clearance the man had or what his job was at the sprawling, strategic military installation.
Capt. Robby Williams is described as a 30 year-old light-skinned Black; 5' 7" tall, 190 pounds. He wears eyeglasses.
He's believed to be driving a black 2013 Jeep Wrangler. The S.C. license plate is ITC-701.
BUYING BOOZE, USES ALIAS "ROBBY LAWTON"
The officer was last seen Jan. 7 in Waco, Ga. AFOSI believes he has been traveling and staying in motels in North and South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia.
They say Williams has been purchasing "large amounts of alcohol" and is using the alias of "Robby Lawton"
