COMMAND CHIEF ON USS COLE RELIEVED

One would think when you rise to the top enlisted rank in the Navy, a command master chief might be more careful who he plays around with.
The former CMC aboard the USS Cole has found that out the hard way not to mess with the crew when he was recently relieved by the ship's skipper.
CMDR Dennis Farrel pulled the trigger on Dean and sent him packing. The E-9 has been reassigned to an unspecified job at Naval Surface Force Atlantic.
Chances are very good that Dean will be putting in for retirement in the near future.
IT WAS A FEMALE ENLISTED SAILOR
A brief statement by a Navy flak said Dean walked the plank because he engaged in an "unduly familiar relationship" with a "junior enlisted sailor."
That didn't do the busted top chief any favors, as not making it clear the gender of the "victim," or was it really "playmate," opened the gate to speculation the above-mentioned sailor might be a male.
MilitaryCorruption.com has eyes and ears throughout the fleet, so we can tell you unequivocally that the other party in this incident is a female HM3.
However, Dean's fate was decided under non-judicial punishment proceedings, so specific details on the alleged affair are hard to come by.
