NEWS BULLETIN: COL HIETT GETS BOOT! Once more, MilitaryCorruption.com has had an impact. An Army spokesman has just announced COL James Hiett, whose "kid-glove treatment" by the Pentagon brass was exposed on this web site, has been "dropped" from the Army rolls. In other words, the top-ranking officer heading up the so-called "War on Drugs" in Columbia, who admitted in federal court that he "dissipated" drug money (that's "laundering" to us peasants), won't be drawing a hefty colonel's pension check after all. Good news for the American taxpayer and also for all those who saw this case as yet another example of the military's double-standard of justice: "different spanks for different ranks."
