It was indeed ironic that dirt bag Command SGT MAJ William Roy was indicted by a federal grand jury on the 68th anniversary of the D-Day landings in World War II.

Some of us remember the thousands of Americans killed or wounded June 6, 1944 as they fought across the bloody beaches and up sheer cliffs against dug-in German defenders in Normandy.

What a shame that someone who never was in combat should dummy-up fake awards to try and scam money for disability from the V.A.

HE'S A "FAKE, PHONY AND FRAUD"

Roy, 57, of Winchester, CA, is being held on active duty status, in case the Army wishes to court-martial him. But for now, the feds want a shot at him first, after it was discovered the 36-year military veteran was a fake, phony and fraud.

Investigators discovered the CSM never set foot in Vietnam and wasn't a combat medic there with Special Forces. They found out Roy was stationed in Germany at the time of his so-called "war heroics" in Southeast Asia.

The E-9 even "dummied up" a fake Purple Heart award citation signed by President Richard Nixon. Only problem,, and this is a biggie, is the date of the award was four months after Nixon left office.

GOT SOME $60,000 IN BENEFITS BEFORE HE WAS CAUGHT

MilitaryCorruption.com has learned Roy obtained some $27,000 in disability benefits for himself and $30,000 in educational monies for his daughter from V.A. while lying about being wounded twice and holding the Bronze Star.

He even faked a wound during an attack in Afghanistan, sources say. Roy was "in-country" at the time, but not in the action in which he claims to have been hit.

So far, he faces seven counts - one for "false writings to defraud the United States;" three of "making false statements;" and three more counts for stealing government property, i.e. receiving undeserved monetary payments.

If convicted, the deceitful top NCO could get up to 55 years in prison.

[EDITOR'S NOTE: - Please be sure to read our items in the "related stories box" below. Few people are lower than those who would cheat and steal benefits in the guise of being a wounded and/or disabled veteran when that is untrue. We are especially disgusted this 68th anniversary of the D-Day invasion and sacrifice of so many American lives in the cause of freedom, that our present "commander-in-chief," Barak Hussein Obama, couldn't be bothered to lay a wreath or make a speech honoring our war dead. Instead, he was off again raising more money for his re-election campaign and yukking-it-up with the anti-military Hollyweird crowd. The "anointed one" should be ashamed.]
