Friends of CW4 Richard Mitchell are still reeling from shock at Ft. Gordon, Ga. at news that the career warrant officer has been arrested on child porn charges. "It doesn't sound like him at all," said a pal who prefers to remain anonymous, "but I guess if they (investigators) have the proof, I didn't know him well enough."

The Groveton, Ga. native was taken into custody by agents of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) after a search warrant for his home turned up "multiple videos" depicting children engaged in sexual acts. A desk computer and laptop were seized containing the incriminating evidence, MilitaryCorruption.com has learned.

The 47 year-old soldier had been technical director of the Army School of Information Technology at Ft. Gordon.

MITCHELL SAID TO BE PART OF A NETWORK OF CHILD-PORN PERVERTS

GBI agents won't say how they came to nab Mitchell, but do acknowledge he was allegedly part of a network of child porn aficionados who "shared" their sick predilections on the Internet.

Mitchell is no stranger to folks at scandal-plagued Eglin AFB in Florida, or at nearby Hurlburt Field. Both locations are hotbeds of hypocrisy and sex scandals. Eglin is especially known for having an active group of Satanists among the officers and some enlisted members there. Many of the devil worshipers make their home in nearby Shalimar, where they disguise their activities as "nature worship" and call themselves "Wiccans."

Child abuse and using tots for pornography are just a few of their evil and twisted activities.

Mitchell was released August 12 on $15,000 bail. He remains "innocent until proven guilty" in a court of law.
