Kitsap County Superior Court in Port Angeles, near the Bangor, Wash. U.S. Navy submarine base, has been the scene of a number of trials dealing with senior chief petty officers, all accused of sex crimes.

Add a new name to the list, (see "related stories box" below), 40 year-old CPO David Holmes. He's been sentenced to 16 years in prison for child rape. The career sailor and pervert admitted he'd had sex with a teenage boy and girl, both at the same time. His wife, Brenda, is alleged to have videotaped the disgusting scene.

According to court papers, Holmes also had relations with his wife and made a teenage girl tape that encounter.

CHIEF AND WIFE ACTIVE IN BOY AND GIRL SCOUT ACTIVITIES

Those who have talked to MilitaryCorruption.com about the case are shocked that this seemingly upright submariner, who was well known in the area for his work with the Boy and Girl Scouts of America, would engage in such conduct.

It is "close but no cigar" for Holmes, who is just short of completing twenty years of active duty qualifying him for a retirement pension. He enlisted in the Navy in March 1990. Now, the chief electronics technician, who was assigned to the sub USS Ohio, will be headed to Leavenworth, Kan. for a lengthy stretch at the Disciplinary Barracks.

Holmes was arrested in August 2008 by the Naval Investigative Service (NIS) after reports of his deviant behavior reached authorities.

In an odd twist to the case, Brenda Holmes got only 90 days incarceration for her part in the sick sex acts. Deputy Prosecutor Kevin Hull said that jail term was for being an "accomplice." The Navy wife must register as a "sex offender" for the next 10 years.
