B U L L E T I N TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE
- CAPT DEVERY TAYLOR
If the Air Force thinks it's "rehabilitated" it's image with the travesty of justice that's just taken place at Eglin AFB they are sadly mistaken. Devery Taylor is no angel. He admitted on the witness stand he is gay. But no rational person can say he deserves life in prison for the so-called "crimes" he is accused of committing. The USAF captain's "victims" never did fully explain what they were doing in the company of an obviously homosexual officer. They had to know he was male, not female. Drinking to excess, socializing and fraternization. Hmmmm. Could it be these poor lambs were so innocent and naive that they were shocked to find out "sex" was going on after they allegedly "woke up?" Or were they trying to "cover up" their own proclivities by claiming they were, gasp, "forced" into such beastly behavior? Going to jail or staying in the service obviously was at stake here. We think the whole thing stinks to high heaven! Certainly the violation of Taylor's Miranda rights by the bully boys of the OSI would have caused this case to be tossed out pronto in a civilian court. But, alas, this was not a civilian court where Constitutional rights are respected. This was a kangaroo court where a cold-blooded female major, perhaps bucking for Lt. Colonel, was going for the throat. And the jury knew what the Command wanted. "These men (the poor "victims") can sit up a little straighter now," the dummy said with a straight face. How can they do that, Maj. Kathleen Reder, if they were so brutally raped and sodomized? Great choice of words, there, lady. You're a real genius. So smart. Just like the wording of one of your charges: "illegal entry." What Jay Leno could do with that! There's a provision in the U.S. Constitution prohibiting "cruel and unusual punishment." But probably that will be ignored, just like Taylor's Miranda rights were. We know of a now deceased four-star general, widely hated and feared during his years in power, who died of AIDS and was known to intervene when his "boyfriends" were caught misbehaving in the men's room at installations such as Fort Clayton, Panama. This lowlife got a big military funeral because of his rank, but we suspect the bully may be having a "hot" reception in his present locale - not for his homosexual lifestyle and rank hypocrisy, but for the bull-dozed dead, including women and children - buried in a mass grave, during "Operation Just Cause." What kind of penalty should the present commander-in-chief face for lying us into an unnecessary war where several thousand U.S. military have died and many thousands more have been mentally and physically crippled? "Life imprisonment" is what the war profiteers and Kenneth Lay types deserve. Not a powerless Air Force captain who is an easy target for the top brass. Taylor deserves a BCD and dismissal from the Air Force. To send him into an environment like the "DB," where his life will be in danger 24/7, is something more representative of the Nazis than Americans who claim to value and respect truth and justice. As of press time, the jury has yet to enter sentencing deliberations. If they have any humanity at all, they won't send Devery to his death.
