Jerry Ensminger was the ideal Marine.

For 25 years he lived by the Corp's famous motto "semper fidelis" (always faithful), but in the end, the Marines betrayed one of their own.

He still stands ramrod straight, the former drill instructor, but his sad and wounded eyes tell you all you need to know about the suffering retired Master Sgt. Ensminger lives with every day of his life.

His beloved little girl, nine year-old Janey, died a terrible death from the ravages of leukemia. Her father says toxic well water at Camp Lejeune killed his daughter.

MANY MORE VICTIMS OVER THE YEARS

From documents MilitaryCorruption.com has studied, many - perhaps thousands more deaths - have occurred because of the contaminated conditions at the huge Marine base in North Carolina.

We know that toxic substances and known carcinogens were detected in the well water in 1980. That's part of the official record. Ensminger says neither he nor his family were ever told this by the Corps, but a new report just released by the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry reveal that pollutants may have been present in drinking water at Lejeune as far back as 1948!

It doesn't take a math major to realize the odds are many more than little Janey died because cowardly commanders and high-ranking Marine officials wanted to cover-up the scandal and not alert those who stood to lose their lives from toxic chemicals that turned seemingly harmless cooking and drinking water into a virtual "devil's brew."

WON'T STOP FIGHTING FOR TRUTH, SGT SAYS

The sergeant isn't alone. Many others have come forward to tell of cancers of the bladder, liver, breast cancer in women. The "hot spot" was the same. Camp Lejeune.

Ensminger is not going away. "The Marines may have forgotten their motto, 'always faithful,' but I have not."

He vows to fight "as long as it takes" to expose the cover-up and make sure such shameful treatment of Marines and their families will never take place again.

As he recalls holding his dying daughter in his arms, the rough-tough former drill instructor wipes a tear from his eye. "Janey went through hell before she died," he recalled, "and my wife and I went with her."

[EDITOR'S NOTE: -- We have always considered the Marines our favorite branch of the military. But why, when we strive to print the truth without fear of favor, do they persist in blocking MilitaryCorruption.com on government. computers at Marine Corps installations around the world? Not only is that illegal, it is shameful. This isn't the first time we've had to fight such a thing. We urge the I.T. people at Quantico to stop the censorship. Now!]
