FRANKS: DONATE YOUR UNDESERVED LOOT
TO ARMY RELIEF WHERE IT'LL DO SOME GOOD
The first thing a newly-minted second lieutenant learns is: "Always look after your men." And usually your men will look after you. Especially in combat. We remember that from Vietnam.
Well, it looks like retired Gen. Tommy Franks, the millionaire who sits on boards of large corporations, had a best-selling book, and gets a fat retirement check from Uncle Sam, forgot that old adage.
MilitaryCorruption.com has learned the Texas-born brass hat, who made a name for himself at the start of the war in Iraq, has turned into just another greedy fat cat, out for a fast buck. This once-respected general has been revealed to have received $100,000 from a $CAM veterans "charity" which paid Franks big bucks for use of his name on solicitation letters sent to the "suckers."
FRANKS PAID IN ONE DAY WHAT NCO EARNS IN TWO YEARS
Tommy, the "good old boy," didn't even have to work up a sweat to get the loot. Sure beats dodging bullets in Baghdad and elsewhere overseas. Just think of Marine gunnery sergeants or Air Force NCO's who don't net what Franks got in TWO YEARS time!
How about our brave combat medics in Afghanistan, or the Navy SEALS who have sacrificed so much, including their lives? Some of the dead include enlisted members in the rank of E-5. That's way down the salary scale from you, general. Nickles and dimes compared to your big bucks.
Why, you're just rolling in dough. And that is why it is so disgusting that you would grab up that hundred grand. Surely you knew that your "pay" came from the sincere donations of hundreds of "little people" who thought their ten and $20 checks were going to help "real" heroes. Instead, it went into your pocket.
Hang your head in shame, Tommy Franks. You need to return that money.
GENERAL'S UNDESERVED $100K SHOULD GO TO HELP OUR VETS
It's not enough to "disassociate" yourself from the deceptive "Coalition to Salute America's Heroes," which admits it siphons off 75 cents of every dollar raised for "salaries and operating expenses." You have to take that undeserved cash they gave you and DONATE it where it will do some good. May we suggest, Army Relief? Or some other agency that really helps wounded and disabled vets.
They'll know what to do with $100,000. We are sure the many people that depend on financial assistance like that, will find a good use for those "dirty dollars" you thought you could hide and keep.
There's no way we can force you to do the right thing, general. The check has been cashed and the money added to your pile. But, if you - Tommy - don't do something pretty damn quick to make this right, we promise you, we'll dog you on this until hell freezes over!
You don't want to find your face on a WANTED POSTER on our home page or be entered in the MilitaryCorruption.com "Hall of Shame."
MILITARYCORRUPTON.COM ONCE DEFENDED FRANKS WHEN
MEGALOMANIAC DONALD RUMSFELD TRIED TO BRING HIM TO HEEL
What a disappointment you are, sir. There was a time we admired and respected you as a brother NAM veteran.
When that megalomaniacal bastard Donald Rumsfeld got his nose out of joint after NEWSWEEK ran a "puff piece" and full page photo of you, we backed you up. Remember when "Rummie" leaked to the media that your wife was "under investigation" by the IG? You didn't like that one bit, did you? Well, MilitaryCorruption.com, among others, exposed that "bully-boy tactic" for what it was, and everything turned out all right in the end.
Correction. You didn't turn out "all right." You got greedy and have done a shameful thing. Now, apologize to our men and women in the military for your poor judgment, and give that money to those who really deserve it.
