SINCLAIR PLEADS FOR MERCY - BREAKS DOWN

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (MCC) -- Flip a coin. Will GEN Jeffrey Sinclair be the first American flag officer to go to jail in modern times? We don't know.
But you can count on this - MilitaryCorruption.com will be there to report to you the sentence.
The prosecution wants prison with all the subtlety of a pack of wild dogs chasing a bleeding deer across an open field. They can smell the blood.
But will the poor judgment and misconduct of an otherwise respected warrior be enough to put him behind bars? We'll find out very soon now.
SINCLAIR BEMOANS "SELF-DESTRUCTIVE ACTS"
The general admitted to "selfish, self-destructive and hurtful acts" and wiped tears from his eyes as he pleaded for mercy.
Prosecutor LTC David Leach could care less. He castigated Sinclair, telling the court the general "failed his family, soldiers he served, and the American people."
No one commented about the congenital liar's propensity to commit perjury on the witness stand.
Sinclair's accuser flopped portraying herself as a "victim," coming across to many as the vengeful female she is, trying to destroy Sinclair after he refused to divorce his wife and marry her.
ONE OFFICER EMERGED WITH HONOR INTACT
If there is any hero at all in this sordid mess, it is LTC Will Helixon, the first lead prosecutor in the case, who dared say publicly what most knew to be true - that CPT "Bo Peep" was anything but an innocent little lamb, her fleece "as white as snow."
Sinclair's military career has crashed in flames. His accuser seems confident her new pals at the Pentagon will reward her with gold oak leaves for her help in trying to destroy the politically-incorrect general. And Helixon, who was trashed by his former colleagues as a "drunk" and called "unfit for duty" when he publicly doubted the "victim's" veracity, can go to his grave knowing he spoke out against injustice and did the right thing.
A good epitaph for anyone, we think.
