TO OUR READERS: In the nearly nine years MilitaryCorruption.com has been online "fighting for the truth" and "exposing the corrupt," rarely have we come across a story as compelling as the one you are about to read.
At first, the multi-page statement made by Keysa Grable seemed more like a crime novel or "horror story" than reality. But as we went over the document a second time, something on our BS detector told us: "This one's for real. Check it out."
That we did. And what we found was ugly and outrageous. Something must be done about it - now!
DOUBLE-CHECKING THE CREDIBILITY OF THE ACCUSER
First of all, we put the 36 year-old former wife of an Eglin AFB major through a polygraph test.
Our critics well know we use a group of private detectives (most, former military members), disgruntled but honest CID, NIS and OSI agents we've come to know over the years, and confidential informants (CI's) from all ranks in the military to gather INTEL and ascertain the accuracy of our information.
The fact we have beaten back two serious censorship attempts - Carlisle Barracks in 2003 and the Marine Corps in 2005 - by offering to take them into federal court on First Amendment grounds - and that we have never been successfully sued for libel by anyone - speaks for itself.
Some people at the Pentagon (we have our fans there, too) hate us, but they also fear us, and that is a status we are proud of, earned by effectiveness and our more than two million-a-hit readership each month.
We also asked the abused spouse if she was willing to go through a thorough background check as well as agree to an independent psychological exam. The reason for the mental test will become obvious later on in this in-depth investigative article.
Grable (not her married name) readily agreed and passed with flying colors. There was "no evidence of deception." Her investigation - and we can find most anything if we look long enough - came back confirming her honesty and integrity.
Yes, we know that polygraph test results are not admissible in a court of law, but they can be useful to investigative journalists such as us when we are trying to ferret out liars and frauds.
This courageous woman is no phony. She is a victim and a survivor. Keysa Grable has gone through a hell most of us will never know. To endure such suffering and maintain her sanity is a tribute to her character and strong belief in what she calls her "Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."

TO SHED A TEAR
Now, in a copyrighted special investigative report, we break from our usual style and format to allow this woman to tell you her story straight from the heart in her own words, interspersed with our editorial comments in order to maintain journalistic continuity.
We warn you. This is not easy reading, especially if you are a parent or wife of a spouse-abusing mate. Too often these days, an indifferent Command will "look the other way" when the perpetrator is a field-grade officer or higher. The victim is almost always shunned by narrow-minded and bigoted people on base and has nowhere to turn for justice. Until now. Keysa Grable is about to tell her heart-wrenching story to a huge reading audience of mostly military personnel and media. The stark truth of the horrors she endured cannot be hidden any longer.
Our story begins almost exactly one year ago, in family quarters on Birch Circle at Eglin, AFB Florida.
That night in January 2008, Keysa Grable - we are not using her husband's last name (at this time) because we don't want to jeopardize any possible "genuine" investigation that may come from publication of these charges, and anyway, the Command at Eglin knows full well who we are referring to. If they claim they don't, all they need do is contact the DOD IG and Okaloosa County Sheriff's Dept. who have copies on file of Grable's original nine-page statement. In fact, we would be happy to - through our attorney - put the base commander and his JAG in direct contact with Ms. Grable. The next move is up to them.
The victim also was granted two orders of protection from her husband and made a detailed statement of her abuse which has been received by authorities in California where she now resides with her two minor children. MCC has copies of all relevant documents on file. Their authenticity has been confirmed.
IN HER OWN WORDS - KEYSA GRABLE'S ACCOUNT OF THE HORROR
SHE ENDURED AT THE HANDS OF HER ABUSIVE HUSBAND AT EGLIN AFB
"My marriage had been in trouble for some time before the horrible ordeal I went through at Eglin AFB in January of 2008.
"Both my husband [identified here as "TM" for "the major"] and I had committed infidelities, but I had a brief affair only after he had repeatedly stepped out on me, sometimes disappearing for the entire weekend with his bag of 'sex toys,' only to return in a surly mood resenting any questions as to where he had been or what he had been doing.
"I had indications from what he said that he was having homosexual relations, which terrified me and made me fear he would bring home a deadly disease when he forced intercourse on me. Little did I know, that feeling was nothing compared to when I discovered he was having sex with my 14 year-old daughter and had gotten her pregnant!"
[EDITOR'S NOTE: According to her statement, Keysa Grable's teenage daughter from a prior marriage (from here on identified as "Tiffany" - not her real name) was found crying and in pain on several occasions when Grable caught her nude husband in the middle of the night sneaking out of his step-daughter's room in the family quarters on base.]
"My daughter is well-developed for her age and I had always feared my husband's interest in her was more than fatherly. As time went on, and [TM] plied her with Nyquil and drugs, her personality changed and she started to be convinced she was ' in love' with him and they would someday ' marry.' Of course, this was insane, but she was immature and manipulated by a master at that game. I am sure he did that to [Tiffany] in order to hurt me in the worst way possible. He did.
"I confronted him with my suspicions the second time I saw him slip from her room naked and threatened to report him to the OSI. He just laughed in my face and said no one would believe me and that his connections on base - he was at Barksdale before transferring to Eglin - would protect him.
"He also had a plan to totally discredit me and insure that he would never be punished. But I am getting ahead of myself here. I need to tell you first that not long after I confronted him about sexually abusing my daughter, he shoved a generic-looking medical release form under my nose with no name of a doctor or medical facility on it.
"[TM] demanded I sign it anyway and said [Tiffany] needed to be seen by a doctor in Pensacola.
" I asked him why he couldn't take her to our regular doctor on base and he just got mad. He screamed that [Tiffany] was not allowed to return to school until she's seen by this doctor and that I needed to 'hurry up and sign' the release form since he needed to take her 'right away.'
"Under his threats to beat me, I signed the form but insisted that I go with him to see the doctor. He was pacing back and forth in the kitchen in a very agitated state when I went into the bedroom to get dressed. By the time I returned to the living room, he was gone. I called him on his cell phone but he refused to answer.
"When they got back, [Tiffany] was pale and almost doubled over with cramps. She said her stomach hurt and she went right to bed. Later, I found a large number of bloody sanitary pads in the toilet and figured out [TM] had taken my daughter to have an abortion!"
"My husband psychologically and sexually abused me, boasting that if I went to the authorities, he would tell CPS (Child Protective Services) that they had been 'molested' in my care. He said if I dared to report him he would have me put in a mental hospital and that I would never see my children again. [TM] also taunted me saying if I called the base police they would do nothing."
[EDITOR'S NOTE: We should point out here that the major, still stationed at Eglin as of this writing, made good on his threats. On the morning or evening of Jan. 10, 2008 [TM] allegedly drugged a drink and rendered his wife semi-conscious. Then he called the base hospital and asked for an ambulance to come get his "psychotic" wife.]
"It must have been in a non-alcoholic drink he gave me," Grable said. "I felt cold and nauseous right after drinking it and went to lie down. My head started to hurt and I couldn't see straight. That's when [TM] called for an ambulance. I was just lying there, almost catatonic, I could hardly speak or move my arms.
"A short time later, a female friend of my husband's [initials: A. B.] came into the master bedroom at 105 B Birch Circle and looked me over. I heard [TM] tell her: "Take anything you want. The rest of her stuff's going into the trash anyway."
"The para-medics arrived they seemed to know my husband, Maj. - - - - -, and appeared to be responding to his instructions. I recall the name tag of one of the men. It was ' Carpenter.' He was dressed in BDU's. The men were clearly asking my husband how to proceed.
"One man in plain clothes who arrived with the medics was named 'John.' He climbed on my bed after I was stripped naked, grabbed my left breast and said ' We're going to have fun with this one.' I heard my husband say: 'You can do anything you want to her.' He was smiling all the time and exclaimed ' I haven't had such a good day in a long time.'
"When I arrived at Eglin AFB hospital via ambulance, [TM] oversaw my abusive, humiliating treatment by the staff. Maj. - - - - - was present as a black bag was placed over my head and something was put over my nose. It smelled like ammonia. They pressed on my stomach causing me to take a deep breath as they bent my naked body forward. They hooked me up with monitors. I heard one nurse say they wanted me to be alert so I could ' feel the pain.'
"They told me they were going to shave my head and give me a lobotomy. One nurse put her fingers inside my vagina and made the remark: 'No wonder your husband has to cheat on you.'
"Electrodes were attached to my breasts and I felt painful electric shocks, so strong my back arched off the bed. When they finally turned off the machine, I felt sharp pain in the region of my heart.
"The electric shocks made my arms and legs twitch involuntarily and some of the medical staff laughed out loud and called me a 'retard.' One asked me if I was going to 'dance' for them.
"I was given a series of injections and felt woozy, coming in and out of consciousness. After a while, they dressed me in a hospital gown and my husband re-entered the room. He told me I was breathing really heavy and that I was going to die soon. 'You're not getting out of here alive,' he said with a look of extreme hatred on his face.
"We were alone when he cursed me, unzipped his flight suit and urinated on me while I was lying on the hospital bed, virtually unable to move or protect myself. I prayed to God to save me as I felt I would be killed at any moment."
[EDITOR'S NOTE: Again, we have to interrupt the narrative to put into perspective the events that occurred next. Apparently base police arrived and entered the room. Keysa Grable said her husband appeared to be extremely nervous and short-tempered with the men. She heard one of them ask "What's going on here, sir?"
The woman recalled her husband became very agitated and almost got into an argument with one of the men but soon backed off and the tension eased. But if Grable thought she was going to get "help" from law enforcement, she was badly mistaken. You'll see why when you read the next paragraph.]
"One of the men, I think a military policeman, he had on BDU's and wore dark glasses, grabbed me by the hair and told me he was going to rape me. He said I was going to be taken to a mental hospital in Fort Walton Beach and I would be put in solitary and kept in a straight jacket. He said nobody would come for me and nobody cared because I was just a ' whore.' He said I would end up wearing diapers and my brain would be given ECT tests until it ' fried.'
"The next day, I was heavily medicated and taken for a CT scan. I opened my eyes and looked up during the scan, which can be very damaging. I have a copy of the scan which shows my eyes were open due to the drugs I was under.
"Then they inoculated me again to knock me out before I was transported to the psychiatric unit at Fort Walton Beach Hospital."
[EDITOR'S NOTE: Grable's litany of horrors didn't end there. They only continued when an African-American male, allegedly a "patient," repeatedly came up to the woman's bedside and promised he would rape and sodomize her before she left the facility.]
"My husband tried to get me to sign a power of attorney over to him, but I refused. I recall him telling the staffers that I was 'delusional' and ' thinks others are trying to hurt her.'
"I also saw 'John' again and realized he worked at the Fort Walton Beach Hospital. That he was right there the night I was put in the ambulance at Eglin, convinced me he was in on this with my husband from the very beginning.
"I was taunted and told that patients would break my nose in the closed ward. There was no calendar, no magazines, nothing to do for days. Just sit there and listen to a woman scream and cry non-stop. It was a living hell.
"There was one man called Rob. The patients in the locked ward gathered around him and threatened to rape him, calling him disgusting names as he told them to stop.
"I soon realized this 'abuse" was an 'act' allowed to take place in front of me to make me think I would be sexually assaulted next.
"Right then the staff came in and took my vitals after the situation had escalated, apparently to see if they had been successful in upsetting me. I was the only person that had their vitals taken during this incident."
[EDITOR'S NOTE: When Keysa Grable was again able to speak, she told her tormentors they were not going to be able to get away with what they had done to her. According to the major's wife, they replied that her records would show she was "psychotic" and "no one will believe you."]
"I was over-medicated and drugged so badly my body started to shut down again. I was molested by an older male patient while the staff turned their backs and walked away.
"One doctor came into the room and said I had internal bleeding. 'You're dying, you don't have much time to live,' he said. I was told my food was poisoned just after I ate it. I also suffered from sleep deprivation. Staffers would wake me up every few minutes to deny me any REM sleep. I was told if I ever contacted the police, I would just be sent back to the psychiatric unit and I would never leave it alive.
"Finally, thank God, I was discharged on January 21, 2008, some 11 days after I arrived at the Fort Walton Beach Hospital.
"I signed a marital separation agreement in Florida and signed it against my best self interest because I wanted to get myself and my children away from that monster [TM] as soon as possible.
"While I was still in base housing on Eglin, I pleaded with the hospital to run a test on my hair to show that I had been poisoned, but they refused. I know now, that it is only by the grace of God that I got out of that hell hole alive and with my sanity intact.
"Please investigate Eglin AFB and Fort Walton Beach Hospital because the corruption and cover-ups there need to come to an end."
[EDITOR'S NOTE: Earlier in this lengthy article, we mentioned one of the conditions of our taking this case on was for Keysa Grable to submit to an independent psychiatric exam. With her permission, we now reproduce portions of that report to rebut any attempts by Grable's ex-husband or the "leadership" at Eglin AFB to claim the woman is "crazy, delusional" and "should not be paid any attention to."]
The exam was conducted by Dr. Elise A. Reed, D. O. at her office in California on Nov. 17, 2008.
"Patient is alert to all parameters. Eye contact is good. She is fully cooperative throughout the examination. Speech is fluent with normal rate, rhythm, and amplitude. Grooming and hygiene are good. Affect is pleasant. Mood is euthymic. There is no suicidal or homicidal ideation. Thought processes are clear, coherent, and correct. Thought content is non-bizarre. There is no auditory or visual hallucinations. There is no paranoia or delusional ideation present. Intellectual functioning is estimated to be above average. Memory and concentration are grossly intact.
"Impression: There is NO EVIDENCE OF PSYCHOSIS in this patient. She is calm, coherent, well reasoned, neatly groomed and fully cooperative throughout the examination. GAF currently is 95 to 98."
MEMO TO EGLIN AFB FAMILY HOUSING
Why are you violating regulations by allowing a certain Air Force major and alleged child-abuser and wife-beater to remain living in a four-bedroom duplex on Birch Circle? You know this officer is supposed to vacate the premises 30 days after his then-wife and children left Florida. Why hasn't he?
You can't say this is news to you because we know you have been notified several times - in writing - from Keysa Grable about this violation.
We suggest you straighten out this matter immediately. Surely there are military dependants at Eglin who could use and qualify for such spacious quarters. Don't make us go to the NORTHWEST FLORIDA DAILY NEWS and attorney John "Bulldog" Wells, a retired Navy commander, to force you to act. You are putting the base commander in a very embarrassing position.
This special treatment and possible fraud on the taxpayer must and will come to an end.
WARNING TO A WIFE-BEATER AND CHILD-MOLESTER
If you do anything to harm or harass your ex-wife from this day forward, the beatings you gave her when she was pregnant with your second child will be mild in comparison to the whipping you would receive as a result of such brutality. You are under surveillance 24/7 at Eglin and your movements on and off base closely monitored.
It will do no good for your enablers to transfer you to another installation, because we will know the day the orders are cut. Our "eyes and ears" - our CI's - are everywhere. On all USAF bases in CONUS and overseas. We even have sources within OSI. There is no place for you to hide.
Whatever it is that made you such a sick degenerate, either your sensitivity about your infantile endowment or your Satan-worshipping activities (remember Shalimar?), if you hurt this good woman one more time, you'll be hammered into the ground so hard you'll think you're already in Hell.
This is your only warning.
