Despite what some of our critics say, you can't - and we don't - make some of this stuff up.
A Marine staff sergeant from Camp Lejeune has given new meaning to the phrase "Devil Dogs." He must have more than a passing relationship with Satan to be doing what investigators tell us he's been up to.
Sicko NCO Marc Harpel in locked up in the Jones County Jail after being charged with seven counts of sexually assaulting dogs in his neighborhood.
The 30 year-old Maysville resident has been in the Corps. for more than 11 years. He was a member of the 2nd Battalion, 6th Marines, 2nd Marine Division.
LOOKING FOR OTHERS TO JOIN HIS DOG ASSAULTS
Harpel is also charged with "solicitation" of other perverts to join him in participating in such "crimes against nature." We're told he put out the word about his bizarre predilection on the Internet.
The staff sergeant was busted after a concerned citizen contacted authorities that someone was molesting his dog.
Animals apparently aren't the only ones Harpel treats horribly. Earlier this month, the Marine Corps issued a protection order after the NCO issued threats of violence against his wife and two small children.
"The actions of Staff Sgt. Harpel are contrary to the high standards of personal conduct and performance expected of Marines and will not be tolerated," a spokesman told us.
