CHIEF OF PATIENT ADMIN AT BASE HOSPITAL
AIR FORCE TOP BRASS EMBARRASSED
BY YET ANOTHER STEAMY "SEX SCANDAL"

Right on the heels of the Maj. Jill Metzger "cover-up," comes yet another scandal to rock the foundations of the Air Force.  The former chief of patient administration at Eglin AFB regional hospital will be court-martialed early next year on multiple counts of rape, kidnapping and forcible sodomy, MilitaryCorruption.com has learned.

The seamy details of the disgusting case won't help Air Force recruiting efforts when the mainstream media covers this.  Capt. Devery Taylor, a boyish-looking 37 year-old bachelor, assigned to the 96th Medical Support Squadron, is accused of drugging the drinks of his potential victims, then committing sexual assault upon them in his Fort Walton Beach, Fla. apartment.

It was a horrified airman from Hurlburt Field that blew the whistle on the captain last March, reporting his attack to O.S.I. agents.  The enlisted man, whose identity has not been disclosed, needed medical attention after the incident.  He has since been transferred to a base in California, but is expected to return to Florida and testify against Devery once court-martial proceedings begin.

At least six victims have come forward to make rape allegations against the captain, with two more claiming Taylor attempted to assault them.  If found guilty on all charges, the Air Force officer faces life in prison and a dishonorable discharge.

HURLBURT FIELD AIRMAN'S REPORT OF ATTACK HELPED CRACK CASE

A 33 year-old airman from Sonora, Calif. who was assigned TDY at Hurlburt Field told investigators he encountered Devery at the trendy Helen Bach Bar on Okaloosa Island in Ft. Walton Beach.

The enlisted man said he'd been incapacitated by something put in his drink at the captain's Bluefish Drive residence where he'd been invited to a party.  The airman woke up later to discover he had been sodomized. The publicity from our initial report [see "related stories box] and other media coverage, caused additional victims to contact the O.S. I. and the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Dept.

MilitaryCorruption.com is checking out one report that Devery may have had an accomplice in his "attacks."  Whether the accused captain committed the alleged crimes alone or with help, he may never see the outside of prison walls again.  Both kidnapping and forcible sodomy carry a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

This scandal is just the latest in a long line of sex cases to soil the image of the Air Force. Our Pentagon sources say the top brass are in a dither on how to contain the public relations damage from this case. If Eglin authorities seek to bar the media from the Devery court martial, MilitaryCorruption.com is prepared to go into federal court to force officials to "open up" the proceedings to all print and broadcast news outlets.

[EDITOR'S NOTE:  We especially want to thank our friends and contacts at Hurlburt Field, Eglin AFB, and the surrounding community for contributing to our coverage of this scandal.  Please feel free to continue to give us updates on the situation, as we intend to intensively cover the upcoming trial with all its ramifications.]
