GETS 12 YEARS IN LEAVENWORTH
Here we go again! The Air Force wins the prize for the most corruption and crime, in fact, more than the Army, Navy and Marine Corps combined! We never fail to be amazed at all the sleaze - and worse is coming from Eglin AFB in the next few days - that is generated by the folks in blue. Could it be poor leadership, or is it something else? Whatever causes this, it's time for some of the fat cats and brass hats at the Pentagon to get cracking on finding out why, when it comes to public relations, the USAF gets the biggest black eye.
The latest embarrassment is news of at least one officer and a high-ranking enlisted man at Warren AFB in Wyoming plus others, we are told up to 30, involved in downloading child pornography from their personal computers.
GUARD COLONEL NABBED TRYING TO
A full colonel in the Arizona Army National Guard has been caught, quite literally, with his pants down in Arkansas, and faces a felony charge hearing in North Little Rock on March 28th.
MilitaryCorruption.com has learned that Col. Donald Wodash, 45, deputy chief of staff for operations, was arrested after a late-night "encounter" he allegedly hoped would be with a 14 year-old girl. He was charged with "computer child pornography" and spent several hours in a jail cell. The obviously obese officer - are full colonels in the National Guard always exempt from taking the PT test, using that old dodge of "I'm on a physical profile"? - thought he was making a connection with a teenybopper. In reality, the person on the other end of the computer was an undercover cop.
Wodash, who has been with the Guard for 27 years, was said to be using a Web cam to "touch and expose" his private parts, according to police spokesman Terry Kuykendall.
THAN 4,000 CADETS ON LOCKDOWN
Just when things were starting to look up at the Air Force Academy, hard-hit by bad publicity during the sex scandals of 2003, a cheating disgrace now threatens to further damage the image of the once-respected Colorado educational institution.
Some 30 Freshmen cadets ("doolies") are said to have been implicated in cheating on answers to a basic knowledge military test that were passed around to the suspects via instant messages on the Internet.
MilitaryCorruption.com has learned that at least 19 of the cadets being interrogated are student athletes. If expulsion or suspension (at least six months) result from the investigation, the AFA's sports program would be decimated and the Academy would have to withdraw from IC competition, a source says.
"OUT OF CONTROL" - "HOUSTON, WE
Navy Capt. and NASA Astronaut Lisa Nowak's first day (and last, at least for a while) in jail was almost as bizarre as the incredible story of her late-night drive, in diapers, from Texas all the way to Florida, to confront the woman she thought was stealing her boyfriend. [See our related story: FRANTIC FEMALE ASTRONAUT FLIPS OUT].
In the morning, the painfully thin Nowak appeared before a judge in Orlando, Fla. to answer charges of attempted kidnapping, assault and battery, and trying to destroy evidence. By mid-afternoon, as the 43 year -old "super-achiever" and Naval Academy grad prepared to gain her freedom on $15,000 bond, prosecutors "upped the ante" and slammed her with a charge of "attempted first degree murder."
Even then, the troubled officer went free on $25,000 bail, a GPS bracelet attached to her ankle in case she had any ideas about continuing her pursuit of Air Force Capt. Colleen Shipman, recovering from her pepper-spraying by Nowak in the Orlando International Airport parking lot. Shipman got a restraining order on Nowak, whom she claimed had been "stalking" her for at least two months.
FEMALE ASTRONAUT FLIPS OUT
An apparent love triangle between an aging female Navy captain; her love interest, handsome NASA Astronaut Bill Oefelein; and a young female Air Force officer who had caught his eye and may have captured his heart, erupted into violence in the early morning hours after Super Bowl Sunday, Orlando, Fla. cops say.
Lisa Marie Nowak, 43, was arrested at Orlando International Airport following an 0430 scuffle with USAF Capt. Colleen Shipman as the attractive officer tried to drive away in her car.
A 1985 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Nowak was charged with attempted kidnapping, assault and battery and attempted destruction of evidence. The frantic female was ordered held without bail.
IN KUWAIT - ARMY CHIEF
The chief had it "made in the shade." A CW5 at only 39 years of age, a soft job as the Army's food service advisor for Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan, all he had to do was keep his nose clean and stay out of trouble. Soon he could retire on a fat pension. But apparently greed got the better of him.
According to a Federal Court indictment unsealed in Illinois, (CW5 "Pete" Peleti Jr. was charged there because he served in the Logistics Civil Augumentation Program at Rock Island Arsenal), the career officer took a bribe while stationed at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. He was, court documents revealed, accused of "steering" a contract for paper products and plastic flatware away from a government contactor.
Then, the indictment alleged, Peleti got himself in more trouble by trying to sneak $40,000 in undeclared cash into the United States on a Dec. 2005 flight from Kuwait City to Dover, Del.
LT COLONEL FACES COURT-MARTIAL
LTC Steven Jordan remembers Abu Ghraib Prison in Baghdad, you can be sure. Soon, he may have a view of some more prison walls, this time from a jail cell at the Leavenworth Disciplinary Barracks. The 50 year-old Army reservist from Virginia could get up to 22 years in the slammer if he's convicted on all eight counts.
At long last, the Army brass has decided to go after and court-martial an officer instead of just enlisted people involved in the prison incident. Prior to now, over the past couple years, eleven soldiers have been convicted of various offenses, including stripping prisoners and photographing them in humiliating poses.
Jordan, who ran the interrogation center at the infamous Iraqi facility, has been accused of failing to exert his authority as the run-down prison descended into chaos. Among the outrages that took place on his watch was the use of snarling dogs to terrorize inmates and "cruelty and maltreatment" of those under his control.
IS ENOUGH" - BRING TROOPS HOME
No, we don't advocate surrender or "cut and run," but the war in Iraq has turned into another Vietnam, and the best thing we can do now is stop the senseless bloodshed as soon as possible.
That means a staggered withdrawal over a period of months that will forestall a rout and still give us time to train the Iraqi Army and police to hopefully preserve their shaky democracy.
A prolonged presence of American troops, or the President's "too little, too late" proposal to send 22,000 more Americans into "harm's way," will only escalate the violence in Iraq and give Al Qaeda fighters more incentive to continue the anarchy.
FIGHTER PILOT GETS JAIL TERM
The fighter-jock and Air Force Academy graduate wiped away tears as he pleaded for mercy from the judge in the sentencing portion of his general court martial at Kadena AFB in Okinawa.
But the judge, Lt. Col. William Lewis, was not impressed. He slammed the pilot from the 44th Fighter Squadron with a dismissal from the service and tacked on a 30-day jail term for good measure.
Maj. Derek J. Paulk, who admitted having an affair with a fellow officer's wife, saw his life and career destroyed by a dumb move that wouldn't even count as a crime in the civilian world.
"BOOBS" IN PLAYBOY PHOTO FLAP
It won't be long before Staff Sgt. Michelle Manhart will be out of the Air Force.
"Of what I did, nothing is wrong, so I didn't anticipate anything of course," she claimed. If the 13-year veteran NCO actually believes that, there's all the proof we need she isn't the brightest bulb in the galaxy.
"I didn't do anything wrong, so I didn't think it would be a major issue." Yeah, right.
WHO DARED PRAY "IN JESUS NAME"
The craziness continues in the U.S. Navy Chaplains Corps.
Lt. Gordon Klingenschmitt, the devout Protestant chaplain who defied an order not to "pray in Jesus name" because it might "offend" non-believers and those of other faiths, has gotten the boot. He is being kicked out of the Navy after almost 16 years of service with no pension. His career has been destroyed.
In a statement given to MilitaryCorruption.com and other news media, the chaplain said: "This fight has cost me everything. My career is over, my family is now homeless, we've lost a million dollar pension, but Congress agreed with me and rescinded the Navy policy, so chaplains are free again to pray in Jesus name. My sacrifice purchased their freedom. My conscience is clear. The fight was worth it, and I'd do it again. Because of my sacrifice, other chaplains will have the liberty I was denied. Praise be to God, in Jesus name."
CHAPLAIN AT BARKSDALE AFB
Yet another military chaplain is in trouble on sex charges. The latest officer to be relieved of duties is MAJ Gary Underwood, the senior Catholic chaplain at Barksdale AFB, La.
He is facing charges in Arizona that some 20 years ago he "molested" two altar boys at a church in Tucson. In all, the priest faces nine counts of molestation and sexual contact with a minor under the age of 15. The alleged incidents are said to have occured in 1983 and 1984, before Underwood entered the Air Force.
While he waits for the wheels of justice to turn, the chaplain has been relieved of all official duties and has been re-assigned as assistant to the director of staff for the 2nd Bomb Wing at the huge Louisiana air base.
TO OUR READERS
We want to wish the hundreds of thousands of loyal MilitaryCorruption.com readers, not only on Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force and Marine Corps bases here in CONUS, but also those serving overseas in the War on Terror, a very "Happy New Year" in 2007. While we remain opposed to the Neo-CON sponsored war in Iraq that has enriched Dick "Halliburton" Cheney and his fat-cat cohorts and seriously stretched thin our military forces, we totally support all our men and women in harm's way there and elsewhere in the world fighting to keep our nation safe. May God bless and protect you.
In the coming year, we plan to break several very significant stories, including one in the works right now that will be impossible for the "mainstream media" to ignore. That investigative piece, thoroughly documented and exclusively reported in a copyrighted feature story, will rock the foundations of West Point as well as the Army CID (Criminal Investigation Division). Several high-ranking officers could lose their careers as a result. The embarrassment to the Bush White House will be severe. Stay tuned.
Other than one solitary critical article in NEWSDAY, sadly with no follow-up permitted, we are the only media organization in America that refused to gag ourselves under the cloak of "political correctness" and pretend the Maj. Jill Metzger incident has "gone away" so the Air force can slip her out the back door with a slap on the wrist. You will notice the COUNTDOWN feature at the top of our home page, directly under the MCC "news ticker." No matter how many days, months, even years it takes, we will not allow this cover-up to be successful. The COUNTDOWN stays, until we get a satisfactory resolution of this troubling case.
NABBED ON PORN CHARGES
As if the Navy and all the military branches didn't have enough trouble already trying to recruit warm bodies into the service in the face of an unpopular and unnecessary war in Iraq, now there's more bad publicity to keep smart, young people from signing up.
We've all seen stories on how some recruiters engage in sexual relationships with their female prospects; how more than a few recruiting NCO's are experts at using "white-out" and faking or altering documents enabling sub-standard individuals to enlist. Well now, Mom and Dad have one more excuse to send their sons and daughters off to college and not into the armed forces. There are perverts in the recruiting office.
Boatswain's Mate 1st Class (SW) Brian Hoover, 31, allegedly tried to obtain sexually explicit pictures of young boys and girls through the mail and got caught. He was nabbed after postal authorities discovered he was interested in getting child porn from several illegal sources. After several months, they pounced, and now the 13-year Navy veteran is facing jail and a dishonorable discharge.
MORE ON AMELIA EARHART MYSTERY
This is a very important notice that MilitaryCorruption.com is on the verge of achieving a major breakthrough in the Amelia Earhart disappearance case. We urge our well-informed readers—especially in the retired U.S. Naval community—for help in this matter of great historical significance.
Anyone with knowledge or information about James Nichols, an Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) agent who was active in the Pacific theater during World War II, please contact us immediately at email@example.com. Enter the subject line: EARHART. Your identity will be protected.
If you know anything at all about ONI agent James Nichols, your information could be vitally important in shattering the wall of government silence that has surrounded the Earhart case since 1937. If you can, please help. Thank You.
[MCC INVESTIGATORS HAVE JUST LEARNED THAT JAMES H. NICHOLS WAS KNOWN AS "RABBIT" IN INTELLIGENCE CIRCLES. IT WAS COMMON PRACTICE TO ASSIGN CODE NAMES FOR INTEL AGENTS THEN AS WELL AS NOW.]
PARTY AND A BROKEN NOSE - LOCAL COPS
It's happened again, all within a matter of months. A second member of the Coast Guard Academy's football team is in trouble with the law.
Cadet John K. Miller, 19, a sophomore and wide receiver on the top-rated football squad, was arrested recently at the Navy Lodge in Groton, Conn. after complaints were made to local cops about "loud and raucous noise."
It seems Miller and his pals were boozing it up and indifferent to the racket they were making. At one point, a civilian female who was in the room, claimed Smith prevented her from leaving and tried to force her to commit a sexual act best known to Monica Lewinsky.

With a web site like MilitaryCorruption.com and motto such as "FIGHTING FOR THE TRUTH . . . EXPOSING THE CORRUPT," we get our fair share of "hate mail." And once in a while, a threat of violence. The most serious of those has now arrived on our desk and we are not going to run or hide as a result. The local police authorities have been notified and an official complaint filed. More about that, and some samples of the vitriol, later on in this exclusive feature story.
Those of you who've been here a while, know we have done an intensive investigation into the mysterious death in April 2003 of Air Force Col. Philip Shue. The then 54 year-old chief psychiatrist at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Tex. was found dead in his crashed automobile just off Interstate 10 in Boerne. But his body bore signs of ritual Satanic-like torture, and his wrists and ankles revealed torn duct tape, as if he had been recently restrained.
Please go to the end of this article to read about - clicking on the "related stories box" - the details of this disturbing death that was quickly ruled a "suicide" by controversial Texas medical examiner Vincent DeMaio and the less than integrity-inspiring Air Force OSI (Office of Special Investigations).
AIR FORCE JAG COLONEL RELIEVED
We never fail to be amazed at the amount of corruption in the Air Force "leadership" compared to the other military branches. The old saying: "A fish rots from the head down" aptly describes the plight of today's USAF.
MilitaryCorruption.com campaigned hard for the removal of the obnoxious and sleazy"Bullfrog" Roche, the last disgraced Air Force Secretary, who was forced to step down in the wake of the Boeing bribery scandal. We helped expose the despicable former Maj. Gen. Thomas J. Fiscus, Chief JAG of the Air Force, who thought there were two sets of rules: one for him, and one for everyone under him.
Now Col. Michael Murphy, commander of the Air Force Legal Operations Agency in Washington, has been shown to be a liar and a fraud. This brass hat, whose career flourished under the now gone Fiscus, incredibly didn't have a law license to practice in the more than 20 years he has been an Air Force "legal eagle."
BULLETIN - LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
ON FATE OF MISSING AIR FORCE
Friends and family of attractive 1LT Nonnie Dotson, missing since November 19th in Littleton, Colo., now fear the worst after an intensive police search failed to turn up any trace of the 33 year-old Air Force nurse.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Dept. used bloodhounds to track Nonnie's scent from a garment she'd left at the home of her brother where the young woman was staying, on leave from her job in the Intensive Care Unit and Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Tex.
Dotson was due to complete her military service in March. Sources who know the nurse say it is highly unlikely she would have staged her own disappearance.
