All that was missing from the April 18th "48 Hours" broadcast about the mysterious death of Air Force Col. Philip Shue in Texas in 2003, was a full violin section and chorus of angels singing "hosanna" as "the tiny terror," Tracy Shue, did her best to convince us she had the "perfect marriage" with her self-described "soul-mate," late husband.
"The room lit up" whenever the colonel walked in the door, the wealthy widow gushed. We were treated to a home video from overseas where the dead officer pointed out a bedside pix of darling wife. They were "so much in love," chirped one of Tracy's neighbor groupies, in case we didn't get the point. Everything was just wonderful in that marriage. Or was it?

You know about a crime and injustice in the Air Force that you have "first-hand knowledge" of, yet you chose to turn your back and walk away when you could have done something about it. That's because you don't have any courage. Or integrity.
Thank God we didn't have to share a foxhole in combat with a wimp like you.

It was August 2008. S/SGT Amanda Harrison sat clutching the hand of her husband Patrick, also a recruiter at the trouble-plagued, mismanaged Houston Recruiting Battalion in Texas.
They were attending a memorial service for their colleague at the Nagogdoches office, S/SGT Larry Flores. The 26 year-old recruiter and combat veteran had just been berated by his brutal commander for not "making mission" (at least two recruits signed up per month) and the 14-hour days, six to seven a week, had taken their toll.
Flores had had enough. He hung himself. Ironically, fellow NCO Patrick Harrison did the same thing a few months later. He too, was under the merciless pressure of callous, career-minded martinets who care nothing for the soldiers under their command, only making themselves "look good."

How often do you see a female soldier punished for having a sexual relationship with a male? About as often as the headline: "MAN BITES DOG!"
Well, this time, one of the fairer sex was convicted of ignoring orders to "stay away" from a male junior NCO and will have to take off one stripe. How long it stays off, remains to be seen, but as for now, M/SGT Michelle Morales is an E-7.
Her alleged boyfriend, SGT Cuauhtemoc Gonzalez, is next to be court-martialed on charges of adultery and "participating in an inappropriate relationship."

Chesty Puller must be spinning in his grave, and along with him, such revered Marines as Gens. Smedley Butler and David Shoup - both men, holders of the Congressional Medal of Honor.
There is no "honor" in the disgraceful and despicable actions of present-day Marine Corps "leadership," specifically the craven Gen. James Mattis, who we suggested (see "related stories box" below) retire for the good of the Corps. Unfortunately, this "politically-correct" flag officer, so eager to lick the boots of his masters at the Pentagon, is still drawing a military paycheck.
The "good news" is, there's still a semblance of justice out there when it comes to the Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals in Washington. They have just handed down their decision, upholding the ruling of a lower court, that Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani, unfairly charged in the so-called "Haditha Massacre" of 2005, was the victim of "Unlawful Command Influence."

There is no statute of limitations on murder. There shouldn't be on insurance fraud.
Startling developments at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Tex. may lead to the unraveling of several strange deaths that have plagued that Air Force facility in recent years.
Since 2003, when highly-respected Col. Philip Shue died in a bizarre car crash after his body had been surgically mutilated, (both his widow and first wife became millionaires from his demise), a series of ranking officers, save one - 1st Lt. Nonnie Dotson - have died under mysterious circumstances.

More than 40 years ago, a young Army NCO and combat correspondent met an attractive and courageous editor named Ann Bryan. I was that GI.
The Texas native and fearless head of "Overseas Weekly" in Vietnam was a friend to many of us - both enlisted, non-coms, and public information officers - frustrated at some of the mindless, self-defeating policies that often prevented military journalists from telling the truth.
Of course we knew then, as we do now, military security on troop information is vital, and we would never do anything that would result in loss of life or undermine our war effort.

CONDEMNATION OF "P.C." COURT-MARTIAL
Air Force Academy Cadet Sean Callahan can breath a huge sigh of relief, and we at MilitaryCorruption.com can celebrate another victory. A court-martial, which never should have happened in the first place, has resulted in the 22 year-old first classman being acquitted on a "rape" charge that could have sent the aspiring USAF officer to the Leavenworth DB for the rest of his life.
Just three days ago, we reported the start of the "politically-correct" proceedings and condemned the brass for putting the cadet through an unnecessary hell.
We reported that his "victim," a female classmate who called her alleged attacker "a good guy" and said she did not want to press charges during Callahan's Article 32 hearing, never filed a complaint or called out to her nearby sleeping room-mate for "help."

But the farce of a court-martial now going on at Colorado Springs, Colo. is anything but "justice."
Cadet 1st Class Sean Callahan faces the very real chance he could be sent to prison for the rest of his life. Yet his "victim," a female cadet whom he had sex with two years ago, refused to report him and even called the 22 year-old aspiring Air Force officer a "good guy" at Callahan's Article 32 hearing.

Sources tell MilitaryCorruption.com the 28 year-old officer would ship home stacks of tightly bound hundred-dollar bills to his home in Beaverton, Ore.

The sensational case of the Navy captain and NASA astronaut driving from Texas to Florida through the night wearing a diaper to confront a romantic rival for the deadbeat boyfriend who spurned her at Houston promises to be one of the most bizarre military court sessions in memory.
One thing is for sure. The tragedy that this case has been for Lisa Nowak's career - and we take no pleasure at all in her travails - will undoubtedly provide a wealth of wisecracks and joke material for late-night comics like Jay Leno and David Letterman.

But instead of a bright future, Lt. Morin is on his way to the U.S. military brig at Mannheim, Germany. He'll be there for the next 15 months, a big reduction in the five years prison time he could have received if his case had gone forward to court-martial.

It was a classic "he said - she said" case, but prosecutors hammered Air Force Capt. Adam Pitman with all the subtlety of a pack of wild dogs chasing a wounded and bleeding deer across an open field.
They were out for a conviction, period, and serious flaws in the accuser's story and background had no effect on the career-conscious JAGs seeking to send Pitman to prison for up to 26 years.
When the Montana court-martial concluded, the 341st Missile Wing officer was hauled out of the courtroom in handcuffs while his wife wept audibly as family members tried to comfort her.
