AWFUL ORDEAL OF CPO SWEENEY
We get to see evidence of military corruption and abuse so often here, it’s easy to get “jaded” when IG investigation reports routinely cross our desk.
But the files on Navy Capt. Ruth Cooper, “relieved of command” at Naval Station Newport, R.I. in 2003, are especially egregious. Every allegation but one of the nine charges against the terrible-tempered ex-CO was found to be “substantiated.”
Cooper’s vicious campaign of harassment and intimidation against highly-respected Navy paralegal, Chief Petty Officer Joe Sweeney, makes us wonder why Cooper is still in the Navy?
IN CHARGE OF CONNECTICUT
So what else is new? The top general in a state national guard has been accused of having an affair with a female enlisted person under his command.
We thought this was one of the “perks” of the job, as so many adjutant generals regularly “exercise” their perquisite to enjoy a girlfriend or two on the side, knowing full well, in most cases they will get away with it.
But a “sexy e-mail” sent Maj. Gen. William Cugno, one-time “boss” of the Connecticut National Guard, by his alleged “gal pal” led to his undoing, informed sources say.
AGENT GETS “20 YEARS” IN LATEST
For anyone out there, like former Sgt. Jerry Tilton of Windham, Maine (see “related stories” box below) who got railroaded into the Disciplinary Barracks, in part by OSI goons, it has to be some comfort that at least one crooked Air Force “cop” is on his way to becoming an inmate at Leavenworth.
We can only imagine the “reception” ex-Sgt. Marc Palmosina will receive – perhaps from some of those he may have helped put in prison – when he arrives inside the gates out there in Kansas.
Perhaps it would be a good idea for DB officials to “isolate” the shamed OSI “flatfoot” from the general prison population, for his own safety.
ERUPTS OVER GEN. FISCUS
Former Maj. Gen. Thomas J. Fiscus – a phony and hypocrite if there ever was one – avoided court-martial and prison time when his fellow flag-officer, Gen. Donald G. Cook, commander of Air Education and Training Command, gave him a “wrist-slap” and NJP, so the bald-headed, bespectacled “Romeo” could retire on a slightly reduced pension.
What an outrage! This wasn’t just an ordinary “two-star” having sex with more than two dozen women – including enlisted members, officers and civilian females – this was the guy who sat at the top of the heap as chief legal officer for the Air Force!
But, every once in a while, we get “taken in” by a source which appears to be credible, but in reality has a “hidden agenda.”
Such was the case of former U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Lyle Koenig.
GOT TO GO!
The arrogant and egotistical Donald Rumsfeld is a luxury the Bush Administration can no longer afford. It’s time for him to go!
His failed Iraq War policies and latest demonstration of insensitivity to our troop’s needs – “dressing down” a brave enlisted man who dared to ask His Highness “why” American troops had to scrounge through dumps to find armor plating for their vehicles – is enough reason to send this “angry old man” to the showers. Maybe at age 73, the career politician is going senile.
Certainly he got “stung” by the TV cameras who caught his brusque and condescending reply to the GI: “You go to war with the Army you have, not the army you might want or wish to have.”
MORE FORCED ANTHRAX SHOTS
Barring unlikely intervention and a presidential “waiver” by George W. Bush, this cruel scam, which lined the pockets of profiteers like slimy retired Navy Admiral William Crowe, part-owner of Bioport in Lansing, Mich., the only facility licensed in the U.S. to produce the so-called “vaccine,” has at last run its evil course.
Thanks to a ruling by a federal judge that stopped the Pentagon’s mandatory anthrax inoculations, calling them “illegal” without the “informed consent” of service members, this draconian program – which resulted in deaths from adverse reactions, crippling illnesses for others, and court-martial and loss of career to hundreds of courageous service-members who chose not to be “guinea-pigs” – should finally be over.
COVER UP! DID
TOP AIR FORCE
© 2004 - MilitaryCorruption.com
Air Force brass, led by embattled Secretary James “Bullfrog” Roche, are hoping that a sex scandal that could make the Air Force Academy troubles of last year seem like a sideshow in comparison, won’t explode into headlines anytime soon, MilitaryCorruption.com has learned.
“It has all the makings of a huge embarrassment, not just to the Air Force, but to one of America’s top spy agencies,” said an informed source. “It involves illicit sex, cover-up, possible blackmail of a three-star general, and the promotion of an officer that – if she’d been a man – might’ve resulted instead, in a long prison sentence in Leavenworth.
“Not only did this officer retain her top-level security clearance, but she actually got promoted to major, despite photographs of her committing acts of sodomy – a serious violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice – that were posted on the Internet by her estranged husband, a former Air Force officer,” the well-placed source said.
CRIES AT COURT MARTIAL
LTC Fred R. Sampson, former operations officer of the 39th Infantry Brigade, was charged with 24 violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. The allegations involve six different women, ranging in rank from PFC to 1st lieutenant.
Sampson cried at his court martial as he pled guilty to 10 counts, which included fraternization with enlisted soldiers, adultery and having sexual relations with a subordinate.
MAJOR APPEALS MOLESTATION
The 20-year veteran and former enlisted man has appealed his conviction by a district court on Okinawa, that found him “guilty” of “attempting an indecent act” with an officer's club barmaid and destroying her cell phone.
Brown got a one-year suspended prison sentence and was fined $1,400. The officer had already spent five months in the rat-infested Japanese jail on Naha after the Marines handed the major over to local authorities.
DOCTOR PLEADS GUILTY TO
Lt. Lawrence B. Ryan has been sentenced to 18 months imprisonment and a dishonorable discharge after pleading guilty at court martial to four sex counts.
The 33 year-old officer, assigned to the Naval Medical Center at Portsmouth, Va., admitted he “possessed, received and distributed” child pornography.
FORCE LT. COL. GETS SEVEN MONTHS
Lt. Col. Anthony R. Williams, pleaded guilty to carrying on an unprofessional relationship with the female NCO and another enlisted woman - a dental technician and airman first class - at the time of the alleged incidents.
The 20-year veteran saved his military pension but his professional career has hit a brick wall, and you can be sure the admitted lover-boy won t ever pin on chicken-wings.
