AIR FORCE COLONEL RELIEVED AT JOINT BASE

It's an unwritten rule. Commanders and senior officers/NCO's should never write sexy e-mails to subordinate's wives.
Apparently, Air Force Col. James M. Gifford Jr. didn't follow this important guideline when he was a major and then lieutenant colonel at Vance AFB Oklahoma.,
Investigators say the now-cashiered vice-commander of the 12th Flying Training Wing at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph exchanged "inappropriate" e-mails with one of his officer's wives.
The sexy messages are alleged to have been exchanged between 2008 and 2010, when Gifford was assigned to Vance AFB in Oklahoma.
AIR FORCE OFFICIAL BIO ALREADY HAULED DOWN
12th Wing commander, Col. Gerald Goodfellow, said he was dumping Gifford because he had "lost confidence" in his deputy's "ability to lead men and women in his unit."
Gifford has served at Randolph since June 2012, and was promoted to bird colonel a month later.
The former military assistant to the U.S. secretary of defense, has been reassigned to Air Force Training and Command Headquarters while he awaits any further administrative action.
The colonel's future doesn't look too bright. When we went online to obtain his official bio, the powers that be had already hauled it down.
