HE KILLED HIS DAUGHTER AND THEN HIMSELF

What kind of man could murder his own daughter in cold-blood and then use his sidearm to fire a bullet into his crazed brain?
LTC John Jonas, sources tell us, feared little Tasha, his only child, would choose to go to live with her mother in Virginia when the girl turned age 12. That would be in a matter of days.
So, dressed in full uniform, Jonas shot the innocent child and then turned the gun on himself. Both bodies were found in his Vine Grove, Ky. home.
The light colonel had worked in the office of the Chief of the Army Reserve at Fort Knox.
FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES AND A DIVORCE
Jonas served 28 years on active duty and was due to retire soon. Investigators said the 49 year-old field grade officer was experiencing financial difficulties and was behind on child-support payments. He also was embroiled in a contentious custody dispute.
The bitter divorce was finalized in April 2014.
Tasha was a popular fifth-grader at the Vine Grove Elementary School.
