NORTH, THE PROVERBIAL "800-POUND" GORILLA
Rumors are running rampant at Pope Air Force Base N.C. in the wake of the sudden firing of popular Col. John McDonald, up until "yesterday," commander of the 43rd Airlift Wing.
Flacks from the Air Mobility Command have been authorized to say the 48 year-old bird colonel was sacked by none other than the Air Force chief-of-staff himself, Norton Schwartz.
Did hot-tempered First Lady Michelle Obama get her her nose out of joint over something that happened during her recent visit to Pope, where the affable McDonald presented Barack Hussein Obama's powerful wife with a t-shirt?
Or is there some other reason Col. McDonald's career was ended overnight? Once again, our men and women in Blue are being treated with contempt by their so-called "leadership."
SCHWARTZ FIRES COLONEL BUT CONTINUES JILL METZGER COVER-UP
Schwartz, cruelly referred to by his enemies as "The Baboon" because of his unfortunate facial features, has continued to give a "free pass" to top general, Gary North.
"Why won't Gen. Schwartz order North to tell the truth about the Maj. Jill Metzger cover-up?" complained one Air Force Academy graduate, who expected the new chief-of-staff to give "core values" more than the usual "lip service."
Like the proverbial "800-pound gorilla," who can sleep anywhere he likes, North has successfully intimidated the few above him and all below him in rank by his ham-fisted behavior.
Air Force personnel in Afghanistan are still seething over North's back-stabbing two lt. colonels who got in a fracas with a goon from Blackwater. North's own investigating officer, a minority female, recommended clearing the officers, but "bully-boy" North insisted on destroying their military careers. And he did.
Until North - like another enabler of the pampered and protected Metzger - Gen. D.W. Corley - is retired, the real story of millions of taxpayer dollars wasted investigating a phony "kidnapping" in Kyrgyzstan by a celebrity officer who should have been court-martialed - will remain hidden in the shadows.
