FORT
DRUM CHAPLAIN COURT-MARTIALED It was perhaps the most bizarre court-martial in the history of Fort Drum, New York. A Southern Baptist chaplain was convicted of adultery
and making death threats against his CPT John Lau, a pudgy 50 year-old, who preached against adultery on Sunday, may get a dose of "hellfire and damnation" himself as he heads to jail for the next five months. The over-age captain also gets a dishonorable discharge and loss of all pay and allowances. The hypocritical chaplain was featured in the base newspaper last June. The subject was the "virtues" of a marriage retreat arranged by the Army at Lake Placid, New York. WACKY BRITISH WOMAN FALLS UNDER CHAPLAIN'S "SPELL" Amanda Tyler told investigators she met Lau in England in 2004 and "fell under his spell." She came to live with the chaplain in his Fort Drum quarters in a weird sex triangle. For the first two years of the relationship, the pretty 34 year-old said she was happy and even went on vacations with the couple to the Caribbean and the Florida Keys. It was only in recent times that the daffy Tyler became displeased with the connubial arrangement and wanted to leave. She told the CID the sex was "consensual" but did it anyway "under duress." She called Lau a "sexual sadist." Tyler claimed she was a "sex slave," manipulated by a man who called himself "The Master," who chastised her if she seemed to lose interest in his bedroom antics. "He even wanted me to work as a prostitute to earn money for my schooling," the woman complained. THREATS OVER THE E-MAIL SENT BY CHAPLAIN LAU Chaplain Lau was deployed in Iraq with the 10th Marine Division when he got wind his playmate was thinking of fleeing the love nest. He stupidly sent a series of threatening e-mails to Tyler, vowing to "hunt down and kill" the young woman if she attempted to break away. Top brass at Fort Drum are embarrassed since Lau used to routinely bring the young woman with him, along with his wife, to many official functions on post. He'd introduce the foxy Brit to everyone as "my wife's friend." The Southern Baptists are among the strictest denominations in Protestantism. Some members feel dancing, playing cards and going to the movies is a "sin." Perhaps that is why the top rankers at Fort Drum didn't suspect their seemingly pious preacher man was a phony, fake and fraud. ANOTHER "CAPT JOHN LAU" KILLS TWO PEOPLE IN LAND-FRAUD SCHEME How often does lightning strike in the same place twice? Our extensive MilitaryCorruption.com files show another Army captain, also stationed in New York and also named John Lau, was convicted in 2001 of murdering Alexander Barone and his wife Liana from Brooklyn after they caught on to the officer's land-fraud scheme. This captain, not a chaplain, beat his victims to death with a wrench and dumped their bodies in a creek. Court papers from Lau's trial in New York State Supreme Court showed he took money from the couple in payment for a fictional piece of land in Florida. The 43 year-old former Army officer is now serving a life sentence in the federal pen.
