It's not every day a Navy E-9 is tossed overboard.
Command Master Chief Lee Morrison is the latest enlisted top-ranker to be fired in a year that saw more than 20 commanding officers relieved.
A spokesperson for Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group 1 would only say Morrison "failed to follow reporting requirements and implement command policies." The flack emphasized to a MilitaryCorruption.com reporter that the master chief did not do anything "criminal" in nature.
Whatever.
The 42 year-old Coronado, Calif. based CMC enlisted in the Navy 23 years ago. He was fired Dec. 19 and stood mast proceedings ten days later.
With Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 3 since May of 2010, Morrison pulled an earlier hitch with the unit from 2002 to 2007.
