Jill Metzger's being slipped out the back door by the Air Force with a retirement and "disability" pension, is being ignored by most of the "mainstream media," who dropped the ball on covering this case when it turned "politically incorrect." If you thought you'd at least see a "mention" of our hard-hitting article in the Air Force TIMES, forget it. They relegated us to the "memory hole" of non-reported news, instead choosing to run a weird Associated Press story quoting Mommy Metzger. The woman said her darling daughter was "going on an 18-mos. leave of absence," ostensibly to be with Jill's [seven years younger] hubby, OSI Agent, Capt. Josh Mayo. THAT is the Air Force TIME'S idea of what YOU need to know, and ALL you need to know. The "official" version. We were puzzled by the quotes in the AP story, so checked with several Air Force admin specialists. The puzzled NCO's said they'd never heard of an "18-month leave of absence" for an active duty member. They couldn't find any "reg" that allowed it. "An 18-month leave of absence - why that's nuts!" said one senior sergeant at an East Coast air base. "But, if the Command wants to do something, they can do whatever they wish," said the admin person. "She's the Paris Hilton of the Air Force, now, so I guess special treatment is to be expected when it comes to Jill Metzger."
