AIR FORCE JAG COLONEL RELIEVED
We never fail to be amazed at the amount of corruption in the Air Force "leadership" compared to the other military branches. The old saying: "A fish rots from the head down" aptly describes the plight of today's USAF.
MilitaryCorruption.com campaigned hard for the removal of the obnoxious and sleazy"Bullfrog" Roche, the last disgraced Air Force Secretary, who was forced to step down in the wake of the Boeing bribery scandal. We helped expose the despicable former Maj. Gen. Thomas J. Fiscus, Chief JAG of the Air Force, who thought there were two sets of rules: one for him, and one for everyone under him.
Now Col. Michael Murphy, commander of the Air Force Legal Operations Agency in Washington, has been shown to be a liar and a fraud. This brass hat, whose career flourished under the now gone Fiscus, incredibly didn't have a law license to practice in the more than 20 years he has been an Air Force "legal eagle."
A "RECEPTION COMMITTEE" WAITS IN THE SHOWER ROOM AT THE "DB"
Just think of all the enlisted men and junior officers this phony must have helped send to Leavenworth over the years! You can be sure they are thinking of him about now. For a crime of this magnitude and the tremendous damage it's done to the military - Murphy was disbarred in Texas and Louisiana, part of the reason was his deceit - he should be made "an example" of.
However, knowing the Pentagon - even with our old enemy Donald Rumsfeld going out the back door - Murphy will still be "taken care of."
We predict when all is said and done, the fraudulent Air Force lawyer will be reduced in grade and allowed to retire on his military pension. Not one day in the slammer. You can be sure those whom he prosecuted - or is the word "persecuted(?)" - during his long years in uniform (we are told he never once served as a defense attorney) didn't get such a "sweet deal."
But since when has the system of DIFFERENT SPANKS FOR DIFFERENT RANKS been abolished? Never. If you're high enough up the chain, you don't "do the time for the crime," you get a "free pass" and a "slap on the wrist."
We think Murphy should do at least four years at the "DB" where we are sure a "reception committee" is waiting for him in the shower room.
ONE MORE SCANDAL TO HIT THE TROUBLED AIR FORCE JAG CORPS
What does the latest revelation of corruption do for the Air Force image and public relations? It is yet another black mark against a branch of the military that's been wallowing in wrongdoing ever since Bill "I loathe the military" Clinton was in power.
Not just "political correctness" but failed leadership, favoritism and unequal "justice" is destroying our military from within. Sadly, the service going to hell the fastest is undoubtedly, the men and women in blue.
The vast majority of them make us very proud indeed. They deserve better than the crooks and liars that have "led" them in recent years.
KUDOS TO THE AIR FORCE TIMES
Congratulations to Erik Holmes and ace reporter Rod Hafemeister of AIR FORCE TIMES as well as Gannet News Service staff writer Nicole Gaudiano for the their hard work and enterprise in digging out this story and pushing hard to get answers from the Air Force PAO.
Thanks to them and MilitaryCorruption.com, this latest scandal will not be swept under the rug. How many more "rats" scurry around in the top levels of Air Force command? More than a few. We invite the new Democratic majority in the House and Senate to investigate corruption in our armed forces. We hope they will help "clean house" of those who have disgraced the distinguished uniform of the United States Air Force.
[EDITOR'S NOTE: This week we "salute" all our many friends at McGuire AFB in New Jersey. Also, we'd like to say hello to the folks on Ft. Dix and the New Jersey National Guard. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.]
