NEW DETAILS ON CONFRONTATION BETWEEN NAVY
© 2015 MilitaryCorruption.com
It was early January at the U.S. Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. A going-away party was being held at the officers club and couples crowded the dance floor.
One of them was of particular interest to 42 year-old Christopher Tur, loss control officer at the local exchange.
There, right in front of him, was his wife Lara being literally "groped" (the word of one witness to the spectacle) by base commander, CAPT John Nettleton.
The couple were dancing in such a way no one could mistake what was going on, or the humiliation and anger that Tur must have felt at being disrespected in such a public way.
NCIS WARN BASE WORKERS NOT TO SPECULATE
The NCIS has successfully used intimidation tactics to silence those who might want to speak with the media. MilitaryCorruption.com, widely-read by Navy personnel around the world, was able to dig out some important information on this case - now, looking more and more like a cover-up - before the warnings took their toll.
We fully understand the need for an investigation unimpeded by leaks of vital information. One would hope that the sudden death of Christopher Tur (see related stories box below) would be investigated as a homicide. There are a number of facts that point in that direction.
But wife Lara, we are told, clings to the story that her husband was "depressed" at their failing marriage and committed suicide. Tur's lifeless body was found floating in Guantanamo Bay 24 hours after his adulterous wife reported him "missing."
The big question on everyone's mind at GITMO is what really happened and how did the well-liked Chris Tur die? "We aren't buying any of that suicide bullshit," said one Navy worker to an MCC investigator.
Apparently the NCIS are fully aware of the skepticism on base, and have remained silent - so much so, that they have not "officially" declared the death to be "suicide" - that old "stand-by" excuse of other military commanders in times past, who wanted to get an unpleasant and embarrassing death "off their plate."
IS "DELAY AND DENY" PART OF THE PLAN?
Nearly two months have transpired, and yet, no arrests have been made or charges filed. Morale at GITMO is down because both civilians and military members there suspect NCIS will "delay and deny" long enough so that after the passage of time, some story will be concocted to protect those under suspicion.
Let's analyze the case. Who stood to gain from the sudden demise of a jealous husband? Who had the ability to end CAPT Nettleton's 27-year career by going to the authorities and even the media? Why did wife Lara not even attend her dear husband's funeral in Pennsylvania? Why is Nettleton estranged from his own wife, and how long had he been carrying on the affair with Lara Tur?
We can now confirm that Chistopher Tur, in front of several witnesses, confronted Nettleton at the O-Club and the atmosphere became so heated, so quickly, that others stepped in to separate the two men before punches could be thrown.
LAST MOMENTS BEFORE TUR LOST HIS LIFE
One of our CI's tell us that the dispute continued that evening at the captain's quarters. From there, we lose track of Christopher. The next time he is spotted, is when his dead body was fished out of the water.
MilitaryCorruption.com has learned a second and independent autopsy was performed on Tur and the results demolish the widow's tale that her husband was "depressed" and took a bottle of pills. Her contention, we are told, is that husband Christopher killed himself. To say anything else would cause her and lover-boy Nettleton big problems. That's obvious.
This is what we've learned so far. No trace of drugs was found in Tur's body. And the condition of his lungs and some defensive marks on his torso indicate the cuckold hubby was unconscious before he hit the water. So much for the "suicide" cover-story that has worked so well in other such situations.
We're putting NCIS on notice that we have eyes and ears everywhere and will hold their feet to the fire to come to a fair and just resolution of this case. Forget about any cover-up or the usual smoke-and-mirrors. It's very apparent Christopher Tur was murdered, so bring his killer or killers to justice. Period.
(P.S.) - We don't want to have to do your work for you, but here's a clue to look at: three words - "clean-up crew." Find them and make one of them talk and you'll find out who did what, and why. Good luck
