FIRE RUMSFELD NOW!
© MilitaryCorruption.com – 2004
If he doesn’t, and few egos are larger than this megalomaniac’s, a bipartisan coalition of Republican and Democrat senators needs to force him from office.
Rumsfeld has become a liability to Bush and the nation. He is too closely identified with the failed policies in Iraq and has about as much credibility left as Robert McNamara did at the height of the Vietnam War.
ONLY A SLIGHT IMPROVEMENT OVER COHEN
Unlike Clinton water boy, William Cohen, at least Rumsfeld served in the U.S. military as a Navy pilot.
But he obviously forgot his roots when he continued the criminal policy of forcing members of the armed forces to submit to “so-called” anthrax shots, on pain of court martial or dismissal from the military.
A number of the “guinea pigs” [see our investigative article “GREED AND GUINEA PIGS”] have become seriously ill or died. Experts have testified the shots don’t even protect all possible strains of the anthrax!
Why a money $CAM, cooked up in the Clinton years to help enrich corpulent Admiral William Crowe – one time “Republican,” who got an ambassadorship in exchange for backing Bill “I loathe the military” Clinton in the 1992 election – was allowed to continue in a GOP administration, is still a mystery to us.
Perhaps the political considerations of millions of government dollars pouring into Bioport of Lansing, Mich. (owned in part, by Crowe), the sole license holder to manufacture the “vaccine,” is more important than the misery and ruin the draconian policy has caused America’s men and women in uniform.
“DISSING” GEN. TOMMY FRANK’S WIFE
Even his coterie of sycophants agree, Rumsfeld doesn’t suffer fools – or perceived enemies – gladly.
The defense secretary showed his vicious side back at the end of 2002 when “leaks” from his office reached the news media that Gen. Tommy Frank’s wife was “under investigation” by the Inspector General’s office.
She was later cleared, but the message had been sent, loud and clear, to Franks: “Don’t steal the spotlight” from the egotistical Rumsfeld. It seems the folksy general from Texas had been featured in a year-end article in NEWSWEEK.
A full page photo of the smiling four-star, and the cut line that went with it [in big font] that Franks was “the only general willing to stand up to Rumsfeld about Iraq” reportedly sent “Rummie” into orbit.
MilitaryCorruption.com, tipped off by a colonel at the Pentagon, ran the exclusive story of the real reason Rumsfeld “dissed” his top general’s wife. The mercurial defense secretary wanted to fire a shot across Frank’s nose as to WHO was “in charge” at the Pentagon.
It was no mystery when Franks abruptly retired from the Army after completing his mission to have troops oust Saddam Hussein’s regime. All Americans should eagerly await Tommy’s book, which should finish off “Rummie,” that is, if he’s still around at that time.
FAILED TO ALERT BUSH TO PRISONER ABUSE
Informed sources say Rumsfeld knew about the disgusting photos of American jailers mistreating Iraqi prisoners last January, but his boss, commander-in-chief George Bush, was blindsided by the scandal that ensued.
Undoubtedly, “Rummie” thought he could contain the bad news and somehow stagger along as Iraq’s war developments turned from bad to worse. Not keeping Bush up to speed should have been enough to “can” him, but the Democrats have been doing Rumsfeld a big favor.

When political hacks like Charles Rangel get on TV and talk about “impeachment,” people who might otherwise be inclined to ask Bush to get rid of the controversial defense secretary, back away from demanding a replacement.
It will take senators of the stature of John McCain (R-AZ) and John Warner (R-VA) to convince the President he needs to make a change – now – for the good of the administration and the morale of our military around the world.
Let’s hope they move swiftly to spare us any more unfocused and muddled “leadership” from the man with the Cheshire cat grin at the Pentagon.
VIOLATING THE LAW IN THE SABOW CASE
Readers of MilitaryCorruption.com are familiar with the murder of Marine Col. Jimmy Sabow at El Toro MCAS back in 1991.
The highly-decorated fighter pilot, with hundreds of combat missions over Vietnam, was ready to blow the whistle on drug-running at the Marine installation.
But he was shot-gunned to death, our investigation showed, and the Marine Corps rushed to pin a “suicide” label on the killing.
Other cases we have written about – such as Col Philip Shue in Texas – follow the same scenario. Military investigators cover up a homicide by declaring the death a “suicide.” Case closed, or so they hope.
Last November, Congress passed the 2004 Military Appropriations bill which contained language on the Sabow case inserted by top-flight Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA).
The wording stipulated that the secretary of defense MUST initiate an “unbiased and complete investigation” into the Sabow killing within 60 days of the signing of the legislation.
DELAYING TACTICS HELP MARINE CORPS BRASS
But January came and went. Now it is May, and still no investigation has even been started! We are told it is because Rumsfeld is helping the Marine “leadership” continue to cover-up the real cause of Col. Sabow’s death. What does it matter if a hero colonel is slain 13 years ago, when we need good “PR” for the Corps right now? Got to keep the folks back home cheering for the Marines in Iraq – we can’t have such unpleasantness as an unsolved homicide disrupt the “image” the Pentagon wants projected.
“Rumsfeld has refused to obey the stipulation in that bill,” an angry Dr. David Sabow told a MilitaryCorrupiton.com reporter from his home in South Dakota.
“He is openly defying the requirement Congressman Hunter tailored for that legislation. Justice is being once again delayed and denied.
“I feel Rumsfeld thinks he’s a law unto himself. This country can’t afford to have someone like him holding so much power. I fear I’ll never get to the bottom of who killed my brother as long as Rumsfeld remains in office.”
“If for no other reason than this – the outrageous delaying tactics in commencing a new, unbiased investigation into Jimmy’s murder – Rumsfeld should definitely lose his job.”
OUR EDITORIAL POSITION
It is painfully obvious Rumsfeld is unfit to continue as secretary of defense. His prickly temperament, arrogant and obnoxious ways, and his miscalculation of the problems we face in Iraq, should result in his removal.
We know President Bush has been quoted as saying his National Security Advisor, Dr. Condoleeza Rice would not testify publicly before the 911 Commission.
But pressure was brought to bear by the media, and Bush had to do a 180 degree turn. He allowed Rice to testify after all.
Let us hope that the President will see his defense secretary has outlived his usefulness and retire him immediately before any more damage can be done.
