CASHIERED COLONEL'S SON OFFERS TO "SELL
© 2014 MilitaryCorruption.com
In the more than 15 years this website has been online, we have always stayed true to our motto of "FIGHTING FOR THE TRUTH…EXPOSING THE CORRUPT."
Every attempt by the government, Pentagon, political opponents of both parties, and enemies in general, has been repulsed. It hasn't been easy, and at times very expensive, but we have retained our honor and integrity.
MilitaryCorruption.com gets up to six million hits a month, worldwide, because we tell the unvarnished truth and above all, protect our sources. We cannot, and we will not, be intimidated.
"WE GET LETTERS"
At the MCC main office, we keep several boxes labeled the "nut file" and "kudos from our readers." Fortunately, the e-mails of praise far outnumber the other kind.
But there is another type of mail we get. And sometimes it is so slimy and disgusting, even we hardened investigative reporters and editors here blanch at its content.
Such was the case this week when we received (and confirmed the origin of) an e-mail from the son of an Army colonel recently fired from his high position at a military base here in CONUS.
We won't reveal the name of the writer, nor that of the officer. Not because either of them should be nominated for sainthood. Both are dirt-bags in our book, although the son may well have suffered greatly at the hands of his unethical father. To say that this particular family is dysfunctional is an understatement.
"NOT ONE DIME WILL WE PAY…"
Here is the text of the above-mentioned e-mail, now in the hands of our legal counsel.
"I am the son of Col. [deleted by us]. I am willing to sell him out and tell you guys what happened IF YOU PAY ME. Thanks."
The writer follows with his full name and contact information.
Well, here's our reply. The only time MilitaryCorruption.com offered money for INTEL was ten years ago when we were in the midst of a hot war with the wealthy widow, AKA the tiny terror," ice-cold multi-millionaires, Tracy the Shrew.
We're not in any position to do that now, and even if we were, our policy on such matters has changed due to the fact that often "paid-for" information turns out to be less than accurate.
So, to the renegade son, we say we already know, but have not yet published, much about this case. Even if you had something new to tell, we don't pay money for something like that. No dice.
FIGHTING BACK A $100,000 SHAKEDOWN
Holding to a principle can be costly, as we discovered in 2012 when a certain race-card playing slug tried to shake-down our editor for $100,000 and compel him to reveal his sources on a MilitaryCorruption.com story that put this ugly POS in an unfavorable light.
It was very expensive fighting such an obviously frivolous lawsuit, but we held the course, and our antagonist found out our response to her was she could "GO TO HELL!" We are not done with her, and will have plenty to say at the right time, of our choosing. It will be indeed devastating, but let us say for now, this much fawned-over by the mainstream media phony had the incredible hubris to sue the U.S. Government for $10 million, alleging "discrimination," right after the politically-correct Army (that previously publicly fired her), caved in and awarded the whiner - of all medals - The Legion of Merit at her retirement ceremony.
Her unctuous lawyer, a National Guard JAG and Democrat politician, said "It's not really about the money." Yeah, right.
Fortunately, the big bucks lawsuit has gone nowhere, even with Obama sitting in the White House. "Ask for ten and settle for two," apparently didn't work in this case. Thank God.
