ADD ANOTHER BODY TO THE PILE - NAVY

Ron, we didn't know you. But as a former Navy officer, if I had, I would have been impressed by the nearly 25 years of military service you gave our country - first in the U.S. Army, and the rest mostly at sea.
You worked hard to climb the enlisted ranks all the way to the top - command master chief E-9. It must have been a living hell to know that all you had accomplished over these many years was in danger of being blown to pieces. In a politically-correct Navy where any "accusation" - no matter how shaky - is tantamount to conviction at court-martial and absolute ruin - you had to know the cruel fate that awaited you.
While we don't count "suicide" as the proper solution to anything, by taking your life by your own hand, you ensured your still loving family - they never deserted you during this travail - would receive DIC and your SGLI insurance. As an inmate at the DB, you wouldn't have that option.
"GUILTY" UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT?
CMDCM Shasky left this life January 31st at his home in Chesapeake, Va. He was 47 years of age. Some might say he was "collateral damage" in the on-going war between men and women in the service, stirred up and inflamed by ambitious fierce feminists like the odious junior senator from New York, Kirsten Gillibrand.
Sexual harassment of women in the military is a very real problem that must be dealt with severely. But there is no way every single male charged is guilty. What kind of "crime" is it when an "innocent man" is railroaded into prison by unfeeling and corrupt NIS investigators? A heinous one.
The victims' families suffer, too. But what is human decency and due process in the face of politicians who grab onto an issue and try to ride it all the way to the White House? The late Sen. Joe McCarthy was accused of destroying lives in his alleged "witch hunts" uncovering Communists in the federal government. Have we come to the point where people like Gillibrand can inflict such pain and misery with absolute impunity?
