Remember that old saying, "Do as I say, not as I do."
It looks like a Marine senior officer and Inspector General has just stepped on a certain important part of his anatomy. It could well be a career ender for the Oceanside, Calif. resident.
Col. Mark Sojourner, I.G. for the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing at MCAS Miramar, has been relieved of duty after it was announced he is the object of an investigation for having an extra-marital affair.
WE TOLD COLONEL'S LOVER
Sources tell us the colonel's "gal pal" is a Marine reservist with the initials of A.C. We haven't been able to confirm yet the rank of the aforementioned individual.
We do know the probe began after several "steamy" e-mails between the married colonel and his female "friend" surfaced. The love notes are said to have bounced back and forth between 2012 and mid-September of this year.
Further details on the case have been hard to come by, as the Marines don't like to be embarrassed by a bird colonel and inspector general who unfortunately (for him), got his tail caught in a crack.
