At Cheatham Annex, Va., trouble comes in twos.

Two CMC's have been relieved there in as many months, and both for "fraternization" and other forms of misconduct.

The latest top enlisted ranker to see his Naval career implode is CMC Scott Splitgerber, "fired for frat" and making a false official statement. We hear it was a female he was too friendly with.

WHAT KIND OF PUNISHMENT AWAITS, REMAINS TO BE SEEN

Splitgerber was a Navy Reservist and E-9 of Cargo Handling Battalion 4.

Whether he will lose a stripe remains to be seen, but the CMC is all done performing active duty assignments. He's been given non-judicial punishment by Capt. Charles Rink, commodore of the 2nd Navy Expeditionary Logistics Regiment.

The CMC has been reassigned to a weekend drill position with the 2nd NELR.

Last month CMC Richard Ward (see "related stories box" below) was fired from Naval Expeditionary Group for fraternizing with two female chief petty officers. He was canned and reassigned to other duties.
