LTC TAMMY BAUGHSometimes you can tell which way a story is going to finish up by the tone of the e-mail that pours across our desk.

It's been a few days now since the Army announced that abrasive, alleged "toxic leader" LTC Tammy Baugh, the now-suspended commanding officer of the 1st Battalion, 25th Aviation Regiment at troubled Fort Carson, is under investigation.

Also suspended with her is well-respected SGT MAJ Derrick Merriweather, who some troopers feel is taking a fall, simply because he is the top-ranking enlisted man in the leadership team.

"We've got a lot of respect for him," said one of his soldiers.

IS TAMMY BAUGH A "TOXIC LEADER?"

That appraisal doesn't extend to Merriweather's boss. Baugh, a native of Wisconsin commissioned back in 1996, didn't get a single e-mail of support, not even from the lesbians.

She's a "bi-polar psychotic" e-mailed one detractor. A "real ball-buster" commented another enlisted member.

When we dug a little deeper, past the "poor morale" cover story the Army put out, disturbing hints that "criminal activity" could have gone on began to surface. If that is the case, then a court-martial might be in Baugh's future.

We don't know if she's a super-bitch or not. Just because she's plenty unpopular with her troops doesn't necessarily mean she's the Army's equivalent of the Navy's "Horrible Holly Graf."

Since MilitaryCorruption.com endeavors to be fair at all times, we invite Tammy to write us and use all the space she wants to defend herself. Likewise, we also encourage unit members to contact us as well with anything good or bad about the embattled female aviator.
