You could call it a pre-emptive strike by an Air Force doctor who declares he's the victim of false sex abuse allegations made by his own daughter.
Lt. Col. Val Finnell, head of the Preventive Medicine Residence School at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio, says the young girl "has a mental disorder."
Flanked by his civilian attorney and wife Tracy, the 17-year Air Force veteran held a press conference for local media despite the fact he is yet to be arrested on the alleged sex charges.
DOCTOR PASSED VOICE-STRESS ANALYZER
According to Dayton Police, the doctor is accused of taking off the clothes and inappropriately touching his own child. The alleged offense is termed "gross sexual imposition," sources said.
Finnell, an elder in the Anglican Church of North America, says he volunteered for and passed a voice stress analyzer test.
"I deny the allegations. I have nothing to hide," he said.
CALLS DAYTON COPS "HEAVY-HANDED"
The military physician was critical of the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office and Dayton Police Dept.
Finnell said the local cops operated in a "heavy-handed" manner when they searched his Dayton home and computers, looking for evidence to back up the 11 year-old's accusations.
Either the Air Force physician is an innocent victim of the present "sex abuse" prosecution atmosphere, or he is willing to call his own child "nuts."
So far, the Air Force OSI have stayed out of the case. Local civilian authorities have not officially charged Finnell with any crime.
