NAVY COMMANDER FIGHTS FOR OUR VETS

The executive director of Military Veterans Advocacy, retired Navy CDR John "Bulldog" Wells - who drew national attention last November when he refused to accept an award at a National Football League game - said the decision by the NFL to reject a Super Bowl commercial honoring veterans, only underscores the importance of sending the league "a strong message."
"Our colleagues at AMVETS were prepared to spend a significant amount of money to honor veterans with a TV commercial to be aired during the Super Bowl," Wells said. "But, because the NFL deemed the ad 'political,' the league rejected it. We feel the real reason is abundantly clear: the NFL doesn't want more attention on its rampant disrespect for veterans and military personnel.
"Allowing their players to dishonor our country by kneeling during the playing of the National Anthem is completely unacceptable," Wells told MilitaryCorruption.com. "Rejecting a television advertisement that included the hashtag #PleaseStand shows the utter contempt the politically-correct NFL has for our military.
CONTINUE THE BOYCOTT!
"We continue to call for the fans, veterans, and advertisers to boycott the league and stand with our brothers at AMVETS.
"Even assuming that the NFL stance in backing the players against the rest of America was really about free speech - which it is not - the actions banning the AMVETS ad are hypocritical, to say the least. Free speech is a two-way street, and veterans have the same rights as anyone else. This blatant censorship is a slap-in-the-face to those who have served in our armed forces."
After declining the People's Heath Choice Award, Wells, this nation's most respected military defense lawyer, was attacked by the New Orleans Saints organization who labeled his stance "sad and divisive."
[EDITOR'S NOTE: -- The entire staff of MilitaryCorruption.com says SCREW YOU to the gutless suits that have brought such shame to the once-proud Saints. Until they tell their overpaid, spoiled players (who dishonor our country when they kneel) to stand, we urge our thousands of readers who would otherwise attend NFL games where the Saints are playing, to boycott the game. Show them we mean business with empty stadium seats and torn-up season tickets. Thank you.]
