POINT GRAD GETS 15 YEARS IN PRISON
It was the second child porn offense for the onetime up-and-coming military officer. The registered sex offender had pleaded guilty in 2003 in a similar case in Santa Clara County. Investigators said at that time, he had exchanged sexually explicit messages with an undercover cop posing as a 13 year-old girl. Crecy served 120 days on that rap. Now he was back to his old tricks. This time retired Col. Crecy tried to send pornography via the internet to what he thought was a 14 year-old girl. "Tina" turned out to be an Ohio sheriff's officer who was trolling for pedophiles and perverts. When Crecy, 54, arrived at the post office to pick up what he thought were pornographic pictures of the "14 year-old girl," instead he found police waiting with handcuffs. They hauled him off to jail. "I don't know why I do this," the West Point man said as he slapped himself up the side of his head with an open palm. He won't be sending dirty pictures through the mail any time soon. Crecy was sentenced to 15 years in the slammer by U.S. District Judge Saundra Brown Armstrong in Oakland. The colonel's dress blue uniform with all the medals has been put away in the closet, perhaps for good.
