Once again, the hypocrites at the Pentagon are engaging in a double-standard of justice. Prosecutors wanted to make sure highly-decorated Air Force Reserve flight nurse, Maj. Margaret Witt, was tossed into a ditch just months short of qualifying for a retirement pension. She has appealed her discharge and a federal judge is set to rule on her case later this week.
When a tipster notified the brass Witt was a lesbian, the machinery cranked up and her destruction was assured. Never mind Witt's "galpal" is and was a civilian, and their relationship had no adverse impact on morale in her unit - the 446th Medical Evacuation Squadron at then-McChord AFB in Washington State.
The brass violated their own "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT) rules by having a colonel "order" Witt to disclose her sexual orientation. The moment Witt replied, she was told to pack her belongings and get off the base. She had become a non-person, a pariah.
Her many years of outstanding service were instantly forgotten, as well as the Air Force Commendation Medal she was awarded on a deployment to the Middle East for saving a patient's life.
It didn't matter that her enlisted co-workers risked their careers by testifying on her behalf. Witt was labeled a deviant, and thus destined for destruction.
COVER-STORY CREATED FOR ARMY FOUR-STAR GENERAL WITH AIDS
In an earlier article on this case, (see "related stories box" below), we alluded to a top-ranking Army general, infected with AIDS and well known for his promiscuous ways, (only tall, handsome "aides" need apply, to work for him). He later died from complications brought on by HIV, although the Army and his pals at the Pentagon created a "leukemia" cover story to protect "MAD MAX's" reputation.
His last "accomplishment" in a lengthy career, was heading up the capture of Panamanian dictator Gen. Manuel Noriega. Too bad about all those hundreds of innocent civilians who were maimed and burned in their shanties near the National Guard headquarters - the one's that ace reporter Kevin Buckley reported were bull-dozed into mass graves.
MAX, a four-star general who took credit for the Army's "BE ALL YOU CAN BE" recruiting slogan in the 1980's, was "a real mean bastard," according to a colonel who asked that his name not be disclosed. "He loved to bully and intimidate people. Many of us recognized his brutality and bad behavior as the result of arrogance that he could get away with his homosexual activities without anyone daring to call him on it."
This malevolent martinet, who was treated for, among other things - Karposi's Sarcoma - in a posh suite at Walter Reed, complete with a private entrance on Ward 72, hurt many people and took a sadistic pleasure from destroying underling's careers. But he was loyal to his former "boyfriends."
One perverted Army major, hanging around the men's room at Fort Clayton, Panama, was picked up by the MP's after a series of complaints made about of his blatant behavior. The smirk-faced field-grade strutted into the MP station and made just one phone call to the Pentagon. To MAD MAX. Soon a return call came back, and the military police were instructed, in no uncertain terms, to let the officer go.
HIGHLY-RESPECTED MAJ WITT HAS NO PENTAGON CONNECTIONS
Margaret Witt was known to all as a caring, friendly, popular medical professional. The exact opposite of the stereotypical fat, "in-your-face," man-hating bull-dyke. How ironic that she should be punished, while MAD MAX got a free pass.
Obama's supporters in the mainstream media don't report it, but all the Great One needs to do to stop people from being kicked out of the military on the basis of their sexual orientation is issue an Executive Order, freezing all such actions until after the Pentagon's much vaunted "study" of the DADT policy is presented to the White House in December. All it takes is his signature.
Back in 2008, when Mr. Slick mesmerized America with his sing-song chants of "REAL HOPE, REAL CHANGE," the well-heeled gays poured money into his campaign coffers. Nearly two years later, with no concrete action accomplished by their self-described "fierce advocate," some of the homosexuals now realize they've been had.
Election day is only a few weeks away. Barack Obama is not about to expend his dwindling political capital on a voting block he thinks is already in his back pocket. Where are the gays going to go, anyway? Right. Hypocrisy reaches into high places. Just ask Larry Sinclair. Google his name. Perhaps someday, even "Reggie Love," BAM's devoted man-servant, might have something to say. But not until after the 2012 election.
